Well my old faithful axe parted company with the shaft so figured i had a good excuse to get a new one, the old one will be reshafted in time, for now its thrown into the broken axe pile.
Rhineland pattern, i like this type of axe, a good allrounder, not brilliant for splitting gnarly logs but i have a splitter to deal with those
Shiny new axe, what's not to love :salute:

Thanks Poncho :tu:
Cheers Sparky, bit of a lightweight axe but the handle is indeed comfy, i'm not sure of any benefit in them painting it but i suppose it will wear off in time, there is also some clearcoat on it that i'm not so sure of, if i could be arsed i would sand it all off and oil it but will give it a go as is :salute:
