So I'm going to go ahead and start this thread. It's Monday so let's see some MP's. All variants welcome! I'm carrying my blunt BO 600 today. Used it to cut up some new wire to hang my suet feeders.

No one had an MP on them today? I could have sworn I saw a post in the MP400 thread.
Me, I'm trying out my new Bullrush.
-
I did, just didn't get any pics.
-
No pics but I had my trusty modded blunt nose MP600 on me turning bolts and quarter turn omega brackets all day.
It's only the first day of MP Mondays but with great confidence I can say:
Multipliers are the best part of Mondays.

I pieced together what I feel at this time to be my perfect MT. No tools that I would never use, and only a couple that will only get used in certain situations. I havent come up with a name for it yet..... its an old pro scout with blunt nose pliers. Nothing fancy, but it works for me! :tu:

Did somebody say "nothing fancy"?
-
But seriously Rivercity, that's an awesome selection of tools! And the blunt nose can't be beat.
:like:
I put together much the same tool you have, combining a Proscout and Blunt-nose MP600. I wish Gerber made this tool as stock instead of having to buy two tools to make it. I guess it keeps us spending money. :) The Snap On Gerber is almost the perfect MP600 but is super expensive and the red paint is a bit much.
PS: It still kinda irks me that Nutnfancy dislikes MP600s. It's a shame he can't quite see past a few limitations of this tool and understand the great functionality it has... oh well, to each their own I guess. Still a fan.
-
Another big MP fan here - recent convert thanks to the generosity of the lovely Toolslinger and Kev Davey. I have a BO 400 and a SS 600, both bladeless and I couldn't be more impressed with them. Workhorses.

Between the original Multiplier, 400, 600 and 600 pro, I must have seven of these guys. And it is never enough. These things are built like tanks. I put stress on them I would never put on another tool. Gotta love that thick sheet metal in the handle. The only multitool I will use as a hammer without a second thought.

I have used Victorinox and Leatherman at work my whole life, but now as all of them broke Im using obe of my 600 series, and I have to admit that its performing really well! Love the pliers!
The knife and file could be better, but this thing is a beast otherwise.

Myerchin rigging knives. I have an affinity for them. They are made in Japan out of German steel for an American company so you get that whole international thing going for you. :D I got this one yesterday and posted about it in the show us your fixed blades thread in edged tools.

"Blunty" is out today!
-
Well, it finally happened; I chipped the small screwdriver from the MP Basic. I guess that a heavily oxidized rear derailer screw proved to be a mighty adversary. Not one to spend money on shipping and loose "the history and sentimental value", decided to do what Poncho did (and probably many others have done!) In April 2017 for the Amorphous April Multiplier Challenge...made a mini awl!!!
It works really good on wood, PVC sheet and tubing, and even coconut; since I do not poke by hand anything with a depth bigger than 3/4", and I keep in the sheath a Leatherman Removable Bit Driver kit that has an even smaller flat driver. When, or if, a replacement driver is found, I'll substitute the lanyard ring with it. Thanks for watching!👍

Looking good guys!
Hevy, is that dust, or the brass is somewhat embedded in the finish? Looks really nice!
SirVicaLot, how's the saw holder working in the 400 chassis? By looking at it, I'm beginning to like the more compact format for an everyday carry! :tu:

It works great for me. You can‘t have the saw holder loaded of course, due to the place constrictions, but not a big deal for me.
I don‘t need the saw every day, but I like the reassuring feeling to have a wood and metal saw available at any time :D

I am Juan and I like that kit of yours too! It's a tough choice between the Gerber and the Rebar, but I like the ruggedness of the MP series. Both have a lot going for them.
-
Glad you're enjoying it, pal!, and thanks. Not that difficult choice in my case; I work at a hospital facility which frowns upon bladed instruments and since the Rebar has a permanently fixed saw blade, my Bladeless is the better choice (besides being black oxide! :D

Happy Labor Day in the USA and MP Monday!

Great use Juan! Yessir on the pocket in that sheath. It does double duty with my Center Drive :tu:
I like that small Crescent wrench you have in your sheath :tu: :tu: :like:

Made it!

Be back in a few weeks after the Spirit Challenge! In the meantime, a past photo.

A day early but I couldn't resist. I'm not in a challenge in December so I'm hoping to put in some MP time.

Looking good, Barry! :like: :tu:

 Thanks Juan!

For tomorrow, I need to use the pocket where Bladed Bladeless usually travels (its my EDC, as the hospital frowns upon knives and bladed tools; but they still don't know the true nature of my MP ... ). I'm always using the kit for tasks around the clinic (adjusting wheelchair brakes or legrests, assembling/repairing equipment, improvising clamps or equipment). So, converted the OE sheath into a PALS/MOLLE one and not only can travel in or outside the bag, I can still use it on a belt! :woohoo:

Barry what model is that one you posted above? :like:

Well, there was a buy-it-now for one. Not sure if it is the same as yours Barry, but I bought it.
Here are a couple of photos from the ad:

Awesome, thank you! I should have it in hand by Saturday. :tu:
-
It's an old school multitool, which came out (I believe) in 1998. Everyone had one when I was in the Army, and a lot of them still carry them after they got out. It has a solid feeling to it. You're going to love it!

Thank you BR; glad I could enable help a fellow member, as many have helped me too! :D
BTW, that looks like a very handy kit you've got there. And liking the Centerdrive sheath. :tu:

Here's some more inspiration for you ...

Nice one FB, haven't seen until now a regular, stainless/silvery one with replaceable cutters, all I've seen like that are black oxide! :multi: :like:

Thank you Juan el Boricua. I hope it is a Genuine Gerber. The ad is still up on eBay at this time.

A very nice one indeed and, and it looks as real/original as it gets. And hardly used; great score FolderBeholder! :2tu: Looks to be of latter vintage so, it should have a date code either on the blank handle or a stamped one inside the handle containing the can opener. One caveat; if none it might be that it had an etched one but got sanded/polished/erased (my silvery one has it almost gone). Enjoy!
-
Looking at it again, I see that it has the plain "Gerber" logo, and those did not had date codes. Sorry to have confused you.
Never mind, it IS of the newer logo ones so yes, should have it.

I will look for the date code when it arrives. Thank you for the tips of where to find the code. I am hoping to have it on Saturday, but it might be Monday.

:iagree:

Yep, particularly the ease to modify, relatively less expensive than others, and the many "plug-and-play" tools you can fit in them not only from their series (600/400) but from others.
-
I rigged up a home made but driver with a 1/4 inch socket. It's crude but it works! They're definitely about as bulletproof a multitool as I've ever seen. I can hardly wait to start modding them Juan! I think I'm going to do a bladeless first.
