I just opened a file with invoices for knife purchases dating back to 1983.LOL
What a blast to find what I paid for some Vics and others more than 30 years ago.
The first invoice is dated 8-28-'83,Wileys Supply:
Gerber Paul Knife SS.........$42.25
Gerber Magnum Field Hunter .........$38.40
Victorinox Champion........$31.30
Buck Frontiersman #124........$55.30
Buck Hunters Axe #106........$45.40
Buck trophy set #117........$39.90
Benchmark Rolox Viper.......$33.00
Just one more,dated Dec.4,'89 Cutlery Shoppe Boise,Idaho 83706:
Puma Hunters Pal.......$86.40
Ochs Hunter........$189.00
Victorinox deluxe Tinker.......$29.95
Victorinox SOS W/black Champ....... $89.95
Well enough for now. This so far should be good for a laugh.Enjoy.

I don't even have receipts from last week!
but I am surprised at how much these items were back then! I expected them to be less

They all seemed expensive at the time. Some have dramatically increased in price, some have remained static.
For example:
The Paul Knife sold for $200.00.
I purchased another about five years ago and paid $160.00 for it
Gerber magnum Field Hunter is valued at $100.00
A new Ochs Hunter is worth $500.00
The Vics have remained a good value, even today.
I still have all the boxes for these knives as well.LOL.
