Title: DIY PVC Pipe drill press
Post by: Grant Lamontagne on November 07, 2018, 11:58:07 AM: I saw this on Instructables (https://www.instructables.com/id/PVC-Dremel-drill-press/) this morning and I am tempted to give it a shot. It looks pretty cool!

I wonder how sturdy it is- PVC pipe is stronger than you think, but I doubt it is that strong.

I think as is, I'd be about $20-25 in parts from the get go.

The Dremel is really pretty nice too overall.
I set one up for a customer to do crafting with and she is a little crazy about the whole thing and drills way beyond the suggested limits of the high speed dremel almost every day but the whole thing has endured and is easy to adjust and carry,overall a win to me!

Post by: Syph007 on November 07, 2018, 11:21:49 PM: The crappy tire one I have is on sale. Just get that as it has decent torque. The Dremel solution would not be good from drilling metals and dremels are low torque high speed.
