Title: For real this time, Cronies in the next few months!

Great news!!!! I finally landed myself a real full time job in my field (Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering) and will have a serious flow of cash into my bank account. I will also be moving into a house where I can set up my full shop. What this means to you guys is that I will most probably have the time/money to FINALLY get my crony produced. I am going to try several different versions, and like I posted earlier might try a couple changes or adding in a gut hook, but I'm just trying to gauge curiosity or interest in the initial run as it stood with the passaround prototypes. Thanks alot guys!

Glad theres still interest, im very pumped for this!!

I'd personally rather not have the mag glass, but no biggie either way. Looks like a great tool. My biggest concern is that I'd want the wrench to be more of an aligator/universal design than a graduated one. I suppose you may get less strength/grip from the alligator, but I'd rather it not be so limited in what I can use it on. I'd actually rather replace the pry bar deal with another wrench (SAE/metric) but that's just me. Overall I think it really does look like a great and well thought out device and wouldn't at all mind owning one. (oh, and one more "/" just for good measure)

Post by: DoughDTD on January 05, 2010, 06:24:24 PM: Sorry guys I've been super busy with my new job and finding a new place to live. Anyway, progress is goooood. I've starting buying the necessary equipment, and I'm very close to having my startup capital to get the ball rolling completely. All process details have now been ironed out, and I should have some soon. First batch will have a MT.org logo on them as well (if thats ok, one of you guys let me know if that would be a problem) as well as production number. Thanks for sticking with this guys, I'm really getting excited now!!!

PS. Company has changed, and is now known as Hephaestus Tools, so Hephaestus Cronies will be rolling off the production line shortly!

This will be occuring by April 30, 2010 and the shop will be shortly thereafter fully up and running and making products. Very busy time right now between the new job, new house, and the mutlitool! However it is very much still being worked out. I have secured local shops who can meet the outsourced needs I have, as well as a supplier for my steel. :cheers:
