Title: Arrowhead knot - Improving the Taut Line hitch
Post by: pfrsantos on October 01, 2018, 04:28:24 PM
I found this interesting. It can be used anywhere, although camping seems the most appropriate use for it. If this is not the best forum for it, can one of the moderators please change it?

Thanks!

Nice find.  I think I'll give this a go.  My knot tying really needs simplification.  I just want a couple maybe 3 good go to knots other than my go to "5 year old knot while tying shoe laces", knot .

I use a Taut line hitch quite a bit. I have a sailing background, and the Taut line is an essential knot to know.

The Taut line is a great knot and pretty simple to tie. I usually tie it with a 'slippery hitch' so that it can be untied quickly. I don't know that the Taut line hitch needs improving; it's a great knot and it works!  But the Arrowhead sure looks intriguing and worth testing.

Thanks for the reference!  :salute:
