Title: Wenger Master
Post by: GigaHz on November 04, 2011, 10:03:24 PM
What do to with it? Trash? Looks like a grinder or a coarse file had its way with it..

Try using 800 grit wet paper, then 1000, than 1500. That should get most of the deep scratches out.
good luck. Too many knives are ruined by people doing poor sharpening jobs.

Never trash it. If you don't wan't to work on it donate it to someone who will and give it new life.  :tu:

Looks perfectly repairable. Some sandpaper as previously mentioned with polish it up easily, and the edge can be resharpened quickly if you have/know how to use a belt sander.

These aren't scratches. They are deep grooves. 10% - 20% of the metal on this side alone will have to be removed.

Thanks for all the encouragement. All I had laying around were Japanese wet stones. I used a 1000 and 4000. Then I used a little polish. It is still a little dull, but much improved.

But it still has broken and cracked scales. Where do I get those?
