Title: What's wrong with this tool?
Post by: Outback in Idaho on August 02, 2016, 06:21:34 AM
Saw this BlizeTec 9-in-1 Adjustable Wrench Tactical Pocket Knife with Led Light (https://www.amazon.com/BlizeTec-Adjustable-Wrench-Tactical-Champagne/dp/B01AA71UBU/ref=pd_sbs_263_4?ie=UTF8&dpID=41PrwrSkSjL&dpSrc=sims&preST=_AC_UL160_SR160%2C160_&psc=1&refRID=ESD18HWXJB2YXCQE8JQG) (Champagne Gold) on Amazon, gave it a gander, and wondered why? There's already a crescent wrench there. In case it breaks of locks up?  ???

I can see a few peculiarities.. eg
- Where is the LED?
- Where is the bit driver for the bits? (other side of handle a la Wenger?)

Not sure I understand the question
Do you mean why have wrenches in the combi tool when you already have an adjustable spanner?

Plenty of things are wrong with this tool...

It's got "Stylist and slip resistant anodized aluminum handle" ::)

It's "DURABLE AND TACTICAL: For home improvement, emergency usage and any tactical projects" ::)

I wonder what purpose do those pointy little teeth on the the combo tool serve  (other than being strategically placed to maximise discomfort  :D)

What?

I believe the right question to ask is "WHYYYYYYYYY??"  :ahhh

That middle tool, that whole thing is a catastrophe! :twak: And why box-end wrenches when the tool is a crescent wrench. :twak:

The other thing that stands out, if you follow the link, the seller doesn't want you to see the other side of the tool. All the photos taken were from the one side only, even using the rhinoceros-horned tool implement.

I'm guessing most reviewers received it at a discount for an honest review. Most items of this sort have 4.5 stars, even 5 sometimes.

People appreciate value. Look at every ganzo knife review being 4.5-5star reviews... Best knives ever made? Or good for the price. Neither, both, I don't know ;)

Looks like a decent/funny/cool tool. You were looking for a wrench multi right outback? This thing looks way more beefy than I'd thought. Glowing reviews and a little more pricey than I'd expect too.

I just read all posts in this thread and I still do not get it.  :(   What is so funny/odd about this tool?

I guess you need the extra wrench for when it breaks, you can put it back together again?  Oh wait, those are Torx, and it doesn't have Torx bits....

A saw!? I guess I can see it working well enough as a serrated edge, to cut rope, but a saw??  :ahhh

Thank you for the info nevertheless :salute:

I like Ganzo knives... apart from being  :-[ borrowed designs, they are strong, cool knives, with good finish, strong lock-up, good handles and pretty nice steel, at an amazing price...

I have a G727M and a G712 and they both took over from my Spydercos in edc for quite some time...
