This "Eddie Bauer" mini MT looks a lot like the Leatherman Micra but not quite the same quality...
I will take some more photos later and post them. Did you know it?

Yah Winchester also has a micra knock off jsut like it. Funny how blatent they are about it.

An inch long wood saw, really useful.
-
I see a lot of these generic knockoff tools...Eddie Bauer, Scheffield, Winchester...they all just look in a catalog of chinese tools and point to one they want their name on.
boooooooo :P

It's there in case you're lost in a bonsai forest, and need shelter ;)
-
LOL! It would be OK for making notches in wood.
-
Have bought some knock offs before sticking to the originals, won't want to buy knock offs again no matter how cheap they are they are just total waste of money! :P
-
Yup these just scream " I have no practicle use"
However I do believe that they sometimes do serve a purpose. Peole see that a cheep thing does work and then they usually go for the higher quality stuff,.

You can grind off the rivets and carry some of the individual tools on your key ring, e.g., the screwdrivers and file.

:D :D :D
The whole package doesn´t look bad, it comes with a small led light and a nylon sheath that I probably will use more than the tool itself

This thing is bit hard to open and close, and the handles sometimes doesn´t close even :P the knife is not bad, the minisaw at least is double teeth, I actually like that the phillips driver is not flat. I tested the scissors and cut paper ok but when you fold the paper... two of them are too much :D
The wire cutter doesn´t cut thin wire or anything...In the end not all was lost, I think I bought a very nice sheath and led light for my Micra ::)

Yeh, I've seen that same tool sold with a COAST logo. :-\
But.....hello, what's this? They included a disassembly wrench for the multitool??!!! Now THAT is something I'd like to see from the big guys! Just imagine if Leatherman included a little wrench with every multitool they sold... :multi:

You probably just need to sharpen the scissors and wire cutter. Most of the cheap tools don't come sharpened.

Actually the cutters don´t get close enough, there is some little space between them when closed and the scissors are just kind of tricky.
