I'm going to carry the one you sent me El C for most of the challenge. I love that Camping inlay! I really like this tool set. A couple years back, my son Noah's Hiker saved the day for us when we were out on the Appalachian trail and had to build a fire. Old Dad was woefully unprepared with only the mighty Minichamp in tow. One of the few times I wasn't packing a Vic with a saw.
 Peacent, what a neat story! Glad to have you here, if only on the side line! :D
This challenge ought to be doable. :salute:
I don't have a Camper, but I know this SAK very well.
My father didn't do a 30 day challenge with it, but rather a 30 year challenge :D, he bought his Camper in '82 IIRC and it was his one and only SAK for all these years, until I gifted him a Climber in 2014. :ahhh
good luck to you all! I'll follow your steps with this classic knife all the way till the end :tu:
:tu: I don't see any problem with that Mags. I've seen pics of it and it's close enough I think! Be great to have you aboard my friend! Thanks Barry. Glad to be on board :salute:

And as I recall you went on a more recent trip with scouts armed with the Climber, putting el hook to use! The Camper needs a hook!!! :ahhh
Getting my Camper ready today!
Since my teepee scales are on my Modded SAK, I thought I'd dress this up with some new duds. Kind of a hack looking job with packaging tape and all, but I like it.

I'm sad to report that as of this moment, I have had no use whatsoever for the Camper, nor the PS4 I carried with it. Except comparing it to the used Rucksack which arrived in the mail today
First day and the Camper in all of us is shining through, great photos everyone

Yosemite is on our list too Lisa 😀 ! Mine is seeing basic duties so far. It and the small blade contributed to my morale by opening a packet of delicious instant coffee :o

DAY 2
I used the Camper to restock the Rest Room supplies at the restaurant today.
I used the screwdriver on the bottle opener to pry open 2 of the towel dispensers that we no longer have keys for.
I used the screwdriver on the bottle opener and the tweezers to open the housing on the tissue paper dispensers,
I used the small blade to open two of the other towel dispensers that we have lost the keys for (they take a regular key, but the knife blade still works)

Lots of great photos!
I've been on a road trip, but wanted to participate, so my pics were kind of done quickly.
Enjoyed Yosemite, but didn't make it to the dome. Lots of twisting roads made my mom feel queasy and although she said press on, I didn't.
She thanked me later. We still enjoyed the beauty:
Great pics so far peeps

I'm enjoying watching you guys doing this challenge ... keep up the good work! :salute:

Day 5. The other SAK's are getting jealous. I am expecting some form of insurrection in the next few days. We have increased security in the Camper Compound.
Bill, now I remember that issue!. Thanks for posting it :D
When I first had my Huntsman, I was working in a little drug store as a clerk. I got into the habit of using the small blade to open packages and saved the big blade for who knows what :D. The habit has stuck with me even after all these years. I hope to put it and the rest of this awesome tool kit to work this weekend.

Wish I knew you were coming, Barry. Would have rolled out some red. Anyway, the Coast Guard is right at Boston's Italian North End. Any place on Hanover St. Rigolettos restaurant (Salem St, I think) is small but nice with good food. Giorgios right nearby. I've never had bad food in the North End...and Mike's Pastry on Hanover St is a must try. Long lines down the block, but they move quick, so make up your mind before you hit the counter and order like they are the soup nazi.

Great pics everyone! Greg, that salad looks delicious!! I had to replace the chain on my saw, usually a pretty straightforward process. Unfortunately, one of the studs that secure the chain bar to the body fell into the engine housing. Through no desire of my own, my saw and I are going to become better acquainted . The Camper and it's caplifter and can opener tip assisted me. The can opener tip works great in prying open staples on packages.

The photos are of the Expedition (my new EDC once the challenge is over).
Then, my modded mini Woodsman (former EDC and the one I'll return to if the Expedition proves to be too thick).
The Camper, the one I carried the longest in my life, but I now see there are a few tools missing that I often use like flashlight, scissors, pen.
For me, a Camper and Midnite Manager on the keyring would make a dynamic duo.

Nice MagLite, Barry.
Just yesterday I pulled my grey one out of my pack. One of the batteries had burst and it was tough getting them out. I tried to ream the acid goop out, then put in new batteries. It is hit or miss and now flickers when I shake it. Time for a new one, I think

Day 19
Almost 2/3rds into the challenge and I'm filled with nostalgia. The Camper feels right at home in my pocket as it has been the most carried SAK in my life.
I am beginning to realize that I do utilize and long for other tools. Scissors are one and plus scales for a pen. If I were to go back to carrying a Camper, I'd want to pair it with one of the 58mm family. Probably a Vagabond....or Midnite Manager...or my own creation of a Midnite Vagabond:

Looks like a great little camper Thanks for sharingThank you!
We're actually looking for one just like that for travelling and visiting without having to get a room somewhere. With two fully grown sheepdogs, it can get interesting! You may want a 16 footer, mine is considered 13 feet (this includes the tongue length). Some similar brands are: Casita, Boler, U-Haul (they made one in fiberglass), Burro, then there are the Airstream (metal), but expensive in my opinion. The nice thing about California DMV is it only costs $10 every 5 years for the tags. As long as the Camper is 16 feet or under it's $2 a year.

Your tow vehicle is a Camper :cheers:I was beginning to convert it when I found the Scamp. There is a drop down Murphy bed up toward the front, you can see the removable legs sticking out.

Looks like a nice place for a walk! :cheers:It is a great walking area under a canopy of trees. Then there are trails beyond that.
Nice pics everyone!! I'm at work and haven't put mine to use yet.
Untying a knot with the corkscrew. Nothing works better! Forgive the terrible lighting. I'm on the overnight shift this week and good lighting is hard to come by
Day 30!
I was watching a survival show and they mentioned the 5 C's of survival (some opinions vary), but this was presented on that episode.
1) Cut - I have the Camper for cutting
2) Cover - can be hat, but blanket or tarp are better for coverage
3) Cord - I have my paracord bracelet in the photo
4) Carry - something to carry water in, I have the Fiji bottle in the photo - some type of cook pot is better so you can use it to boil water
5) Combust - something to start a fire - I have the lighter in the photo
As usual I can't belive it has already been 30 days.. It has been a treat to follow this challenge
[It's not failure if you learn something from it]

First thanks to Barry for the idea :tu:
And to all the participants, it was fun to follow along with you, I enjoyed all the photos and seeing the Campers being used :tu:
And let's not forget the members who stopped by and commented :tu:
And I'll finish with a simple picture of the Camper showing off all it's tools
And I have no idea why the picture showed up twice :ahhh

Thanks for the awesome challenge, B!
Thanks everyone for participating and following along!. I still think the Camper is an awesome, if not often overlooked, tool set that packs an extra tool in a Spartan sized package. This was a great time! Hope to see everyone over in Lisa's 58/65/75 mm Challenge!

I enjoyed this challenge and even though I have many SAKs it made me want to go and get a Camper for whenever I go camping. ::)
Thanks for the entertainment you all!
 Absolutely my friend 😀. I used the Campers small blade to open a package from a very generous friend when I got home :mail:. Now I'm really ready to rock FoBo's Challenge with a Midnight Manager, Rambler and Signature Lite 😀😀😀!!

I just know Zoidberg is having a hard time and is very busy :P and not being able to come to the forum much, and he usually assigns the badges,
he apologised to Spartan (I think?) for his delay in the badge giving the other day :ahhh
Give him time :pok:
