Title: Paladin multitool components?
Post by: Leatherman123 on January 12, 2008, 10:04:46 PM
Do you think Paladin or Sog will come out with extra Paladin parts for the people who own SOG multitools and want Paladin components? That would be quite cool! BTW, I have been posting a lot in the SOG Forum!

Those punchdown tools do seem mighty specialized to me. I wonder how often folks really use them?

It's certainly very costly. But can you take a Paladin and a SOG apart and build a great tool using the parts? Are these parts truly interchangable?

Yes, but in the PowerPlay manual you can buy all the components!

The customizable tool selection is really the coolest thing about the sog.  (Although the compound leverage comes very close.)  The Paladin line brings in some interesting options you don't normally find on a multitool.  Looks really promising.   Unfortunately, it's not as easy to find the Paladin tools by themselves it seems.  I ended up ordering from the 110 punchdown tool from here... http://sacramentoelectronics.com/pal/powerplay/replacement.html (http://sacramentoelectronics.com/pal/powerplay/replacement.html)

Thanks guys.
It took a little bit of searching before I found a place that carried them separately, but not too bad.
I'm a bit surprised no one's found these before.
