I need a knife for my keychain but it needs to have a toothpick. The obvious choice is SAK but every smaller knife has a small, fingernail opening blade. I would love a Spyderco if they had one with a toothpick or a Victorinox Sentinel if it was smaller/lighter. The closest compromise seems to be the Victorinox Ambassador but it's back to a two handed opening & I am usually wearing gloves.
I am wondering if I could find a very light weight plastic handle knife, like a Spyderco & then glue a simple tube/sheath to hold a Victorinox toothpick. Or maybe modify a Leatherman KB as I love the knife on my Skeletool.

Maybe for bigger keys?
Bonus Tweezers too!

Why not invert the question? “I need a toothpick I can put on a key chain and a small knife too.” :) Or simply get a small, nice capsule with a key ring and fill with a few disposable wooden toothpicks.

Or, of course...

Just put two knives on your keychain?
A Vic escort is tiny and will give you the toothpick, and then add whatever one hand opening knife you fancy.
-
Seriously, why hasn't any maker done this? I mean, if Spyderco modified the old (small) Clipitool to have toothpick and tweezers, they'd probably have a hit on their hands. But I'd recommend carrying two knives, i.e. a Victorinox Classic and Spyderco Ladybug.

There are quite a lot of ideas for a keychain toothpick holder that might make more sense plus afford you many toothpicks. As to a OHO keychain blade I think the one of the Spyderco bugs might work.
-
Maybe start at what you carry now (if anything), and see what similar SAK fits the same needs. I think the separate toothpick holder is a good idea.

Not to mention, easily replaced, more hygenic, and cheaper. SAK replacement toothpicks are $1.50 a piece locally, where big cases of wooden toothpicks are dirt cheap.

There are plenty small titanium toothpick sets out there, specificallyfragicallidociously made to put on a keyring

Get a Spyderco bug, uncle Bill's sliver grippers, and one of these toothpicks holders https://www.amazon.com/dp/B073J6CDD6/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_UZwnCb2WXTV89

Maybe a LM Style CS? You should be able to switch the tweezers with a toothpick.

Great suggestion. 84mm toothpick no, 58mm toothpick YES :tu:

They did an article about these customs. Wish I saved it. But yeah seems like an option. Basically the guy used a Ladybug blade.

Think I saw read that article/list... The modders name is SAK Custom 58mm... He uses a Spyderco Honeybee blade...
Here’s the article... Some of them are also members in this forum...
