Title: Tarrodemierda
Post by: cgk on February 20, 2009, 11:19:18 PM
Well I have waited long enough for this post.  Three months ago I sent Mikko a Farmer and Mechanic, he was going to do a mod on the Farmer and keep the left-over parts.  I am resigned to the fact that I am out both tools.  He responded with excuses now doesn't respond at all.  What really bugs me is that I previously sent the guy a Leatherman knife asking for nothing in return so I would have thought he would at least return the SAK's....I was wrong.  I still wish I am wrong but with no response from him I can only assume I am S.O.L.

That's bad guys :( He has made several flawless trades on here so maybe he will still come through :-[

I would just PM him about whatever trades you guys have going with him  :-\

I'm sure he will come through... There is no excuse for this, but maybe he can't get to the PO? I don't know, how long have the trades been in existence? If it's more than a few weeks, then there is definitely a problem! I hope this is sorted out ASAP.. I recently got "taken" in a trade, and I left the trader an email that he will never forget, nevertheless he sent my items out via Express Mail! I think he will come through..  :-\ That's just me two cents worth!

I was thinking about that too... Perhaps something bad happened to him? He seems to have disappeared from all of the forums he was in...  :-\

Mikko has already explained a couple of things in another thread in feedback.

However, it is disappointing to see him saying he would make things right when he hasn't.   :(

I would like to say that I have traded with him before he moved and I was very pleased.  I guess he is very busy ATM.  Not that that is any excuse.

Well... I'm trying to "defend" him cause this whole thread seems like one big "bad tarro" comments stream. I sort of sympathize with him as a couple of weeks ago I changed work and moved ~500 km away from home (and swmbo), and still have quite a hard time catching up with simple stuff (such as "call me when you get back home, ok?")... ::) This is not to say that I approve of this situation; just that perhaps he needs a nudge and some slack... Standard disclaimer (don't know this guy in person, never traded with him, yada yada...) applies..

I think the issue here is the length of time.  People have been very generous as we are literally talking months here for some people.

I hope it all gets sorted soon.

I did enjoy chatting with him, don't get me wrong.  But if he has time to Facebook, he has time to answer emails about my items.  I may be slow but after three months I can see I have little chance of recovering my losses.  (Please prove me wrong)
Title: Re: Tarrodemierda

Well I may be proved wrong in the end.  He finally got back to me (if someone contacted him, thank-you).  He does not have the pins to put my knife back together so I am having him send all the parts to me.  If someone has pin material for the SAK Farmer I would gladly pay you for them.  Thanks.

Nope, just showing support for those who are having problems. It's not right that people are being treated this poorly by another member. Now, if there is a reasonable explanation that's another matter. But it would be nice if Tarrodemierda would address this situation.

Fortunately for me I am just waiting for a handcuff key and belt keeper/holster for it.  I am now VERY glad that I waited for him to send before I sent him the return trade items. ;)

As for the rest of you....I am sorry.

Well we only use Hyatt Rigids, Ultimates and a few of us old sweats still have our chain cuffs.

They are OK, not great, not crap....decidedly average  :-\ ( A few have broke recently.....might have been a bad batch and the leather holsters for the Ultimate version SUCK   >:()

Most of those cuffs are very insecure. They are keyed alike and very easy to pick.

I dont care for hinged cuffs, they are less forgiving when applying on someone who does not want to be cuffed.

I should not be too hard on Mikko as I offered to give him a Gerber folder for parts(for free) but I never got around to posting it & the wheels of karma have turned. So I will not be sending the folder then  :D, but if he sent me those spanners I might give him a Suspension (if I still had one) :D :D

I'm pissed because I sent him two Atwood tools as gifts and this is how he treats people.  :ahhh  Yes, they were gifts and he could do as he pleases with them, but he can't even send me the knife that he promised me in another deal.  ::)  He was on here a few days ago, so why isn't his account restricted until he clears this mess up. As far as I'm concerned I'm done with him, yet I think he should fix his deals with others. I'm not looking for the bad in the guy, but to me he has shown his true colors.
