Same board as in Three Men's Morris

Two players.
Players have four pieces each. Different color between players.
You start with the board empty. Players take turns placing pieces one-by-one on the board.
Once all pieces have been placed, therefore leaving only one spot open, players take turns moving a piece around.
Pieces move to one adjacent spot. You cannot move to a spot that is occupied by another piece. To move to a spot, it has to be connected to the one you are at.
You can capture an opponent's piece by jumping over it, landing at the spot behind it. The captured piece is removed from the board.
The one who has no pieces left loses.
Any idea what it is called?

That might just be some home-cooked variation of three mens morris, inspired by Halma... Never heard of this variation.

Nine man morris, two players, four pins each... sounds like achi? Can't remember how to play, my mother knows. It's african, not sure where.
