Title: More fun ways to make fire
Post by: Aloha on January 19, 2015, 05:59:06 PM
As you can see from my recent posts I'm really trying to get a handle on the different ways to make fire.  I saw this a while back and put it on the back burner (  :pok: ) while I try out other methods.

This looks like and "easier" way to make fire by friction however time will tell.  I'll be getting some bamboo soon enough to give this a go.

Anyone use this method?

Never used it but I have handled more bamboo than I ever wanted to.

We built a raft in boyscouts that held 600 pounds out of the water.

I CAN NOT imagine getting a bamboo splinter in a survival situation...so much worse than a regular splinter...

I'll have to give it a try though next time I nab a peice

Also, I realized my EDC pocket carry doesn't include serrations OR a saw......
