Is it just me, or does anyone else want to contact sellers on Ebay about their INSANE prices. Namely, on used SAKs. Do these people even bother to do a search of comparisons before posting their crap ???
End of rant...

I was just browsing there last night and thought the same thing. It's like they have sentimental attachment to them or something. There's a red alox on there that looks like it went through a garbage disposal and they want at least $30 for it. Kinda sad since its an old cross model.

thing is, it only needs one or two people to bite and you've re-set the market rate. Alox especially has gone through the roof, but even the most common discontinued SAK will have someone thinking it's super rare and super valuable. Just so long as no-one buys them then the prices will come down again. As long as there is a chance someone will pay silly money then sellers will keep chancing their arm.

I do not mind paying fair prices for what I want, but some people are just off of the chart.
now my most recent buy, was (To Me) Excellent

^^^ This. For every seller that posts a Japan PST for $25 not knowing what they have, there are 20 more who think that they are getting $50 for their 1997 PST that has been to hell and back because they see people paying a pretty penny for old multis.

Alox is bad that way, it's seen as "premium"
