I have one line of text in my profile signature. I would like to make that text a size larger. However, I keep getting:
The following errors occurred when trying to save your profile:
The following BBC is not allowed within your signature: abbr, acronym, anchor, bdo, black, blue, code, email, flash, ftp, green, html, hr, iurl, left, li, list, ltr, me, move, nobbc, php, pre, quote, red, right, rtl, s, table, td, time, tr, tt, white, fb-like.
Also, as seen in the above error message, I can not ["move]xxxx[/move"] set up a side scrolling image in my signature. I have seen this one the forums, so is there a magical post # that I have to obtain or a super secret handshake and eye wink, head nod type of thing that I need to know?

Good question let me look into it
-
I got the same error so I don't think it can be done
-
Yeah, me too.

:SAKnight: We have 'charter members' who have paid to further support a forum that we love. Maybe a little love can be shown for those who have made that effort to support MTO and be given the ability/right/permissions to make those little adjustments to our signatures?
-
Strange, I have used a scrolling signature here before.
Hopefully one of the other mods can look into it or it will have to wait till I have more time.
Even if it can be done, please think twice before using it though, not everyone wants to look at big or scrolling signatures.
-
Looking around the board I can only find ONE scrolling image signature. Can anyone guess who that might be?
-
I know who.
It ain't because of who he is, we don't work like that here.
Likely the change happened in a recent software update.
-
I'm honestly not sure why I managed to do it and no one else can. I assure you, it isn't because of my fancy privilege.
I don't believe that many of the tags you mentioned are supported by this software.
abbr, acronym, anchor, bdo, black, blue, code, email, flash, ftp, green, html, hr, iurl, left, li, list, ltr, me, move, nobbc, php, pre, quote, red, right, rtl, s, table, td, time, tr, tt, white, fb-like.
I know that some, like code, quote and font size/color are posted above the text box on the Reply page.
Let me have a look at your signature and see if I can get it moving for you. I will also send up the Micah signal and see if we can get the input of someone who actually knows how things work around here. :D

Looks like your signature is moving now, using standard move tags:
[move]linktoimage[/move]
What's next? :D

Yes, thank you. It will still not allow me to make changes (save), but it is working. I can wait to bother you another time with the other piddly details. SAKnight smiley and smiley with multitool.org sign as the moving images and not the big graphic that is currently there. :woohoo: :salute:

If anyone wants to hide signatures (or avatars, for that matter), go to:
Profile > Modify Profile > Look and Layout > Check Don't show users' signatures. :tu:
-
I'll see if I can change it for you
-
:SAKnight: :MTO:
-
Can't get it to work , not sure if it's because they are GIFs or if Grant has special skillz :dunno:
-
works for me?
-
You and Def must have something we mods don't :dunno:
I got an error message doing the same thing you did

so it's just the [ move ] code that you guys can't do... kinda makes sense
-
what about now?
-
Now it works :tu:
-
HEY! GREAT! Thank you to all of you who made an effort to help me with this. THANK YOU. Exactly what I was looking for.

Sigh, wouldn't that be nice. :dd:
