Title: My first Ebay Victory!
Post by: ZoeTooCute on December 25, 2016, 05:57:27 PM
So, I'm feeling pretty dandy right now considering ive spent the entire month in the hospital very ill and I am currently still in said hospital... completely alone... on christmas... not allowed to have visitors because one of my friends got in trouble trying to smoke pot in the bathroom while i was asleep and they banned me from having anyone come as if i said something to do with it.I mean i dont have a family at all but like i still have friends and my significant other... Talk about Christmas Spirit, thank you anonymous healthcare workers who care not the life of a sickly patient. Sorry, tangent haha...

ANYWAY, I am feeling so dandy because, I just scored a pretty rad new toy. Which means I will get a christmas gift this year after all! I dont have it yet.. obviously because I literally just won the auction. but I really wanna share a screen shot for the moment and of course, many more pics will follow once my precious arrives. I'm so excited to explore and tinker with it, and hopefully find ways to mod it to sweet sexy perfection (my style)!

So.... *drumroll*   May I present...a screenshot! of my brand spankin new Gerber Groundbreaker Multitool!!!!! *sparklers n glitter pour from the heavens cuz no snow in Nor Cal*   =D

EDIT: Also, forgot about it for a sec there; but I also bought a Micra last night for like $10

I hope you feel better soon, and congratulations on the Ground Breaker!   That is a great multitool and a serious handful!

Merry Christmas to you- I'm sorry to hear that you are alone on Christmas.  I've been there and it's hard, but you have friends here, and hopefully that helps some at least.

Also the Micra is one of the absolute best tools you can get IMHO, so congratulations on that one too!

Have a great Christmas despite the layup.  Think of the stories you will tell later (about your friend) ;)

Wish you a swift recovery.

John.

Great auction win!  Get well soon. You need to point out that your 'head friend has severe ADD and the prescription for cannabis is on file....

Thank you all so much for the sweet well wishes and grats, even if we're all strangers to each other in reality; It still means a whole lot to me! And hopefully I'll end up making some awesome friends here in the future now that I'm really getting into the MT craze! haha. So I spent the last 2 hours trying to type out a good reply before i just typed this up, and I never sent it because no matter how hard I tried I could never get it below like 1000 words or so ( I am awful at guestimating anything that involves numbers, distances/measurements I'm especially awful at, I would qualify for disability just from that if it was a thing (and I wasnt getting it already lol). But yea, I wasn't sure if I'm allowed to type that much in a reply and it be ok with people or if like, itd just irritate or piss people off... So I just copied it to save in case it was cool to post and people were actually interested lol. I kinda trail off from the Groundbreaker most of the length, and only like half of it is even about multitools or modding them. lmao, the rest ended up being about my, why i was so happy to win the Groundbreaker, and what made me one of you guys on this site lmao.
When you're doing nothing but laying in a hospital bed day in and day out for the last 23 days with no forseeable end to that pattern.. you can afford to spend 2 hours fiddling with a reply. =P plus being social is a great distraction from how much it hurts to breath. :s The typing kind of social obviously lol although im considering playing some games too *shrugs* Everyone i know is unavailable today spending time with families and such so I got no one to chat with other than you lovely gentlemen.... and.. possibly women? (specifically referring to the users in my thread :p, Its obvious theres plenty of other women on this site haha. I may be kind of an idiot or airhead or whatever but i'm so retarded id think im the only chick on here) :p

smurf. im doing it again. post.. post.. where is it!?! j/k ;D

You need to point out that your 'head friend has severe ADD and the prescription for cannabis is on file....

What does that even mean? D=   What's a head friend?? lol
Also sadly, I am one of those unlucky few who cannot use cannabis. I'm allergic, ive tried more than a few times and every time i wound up waking up almost dead in the ER and was having basically every single symptom that cannabis is reputed to fix. The waking up part is usually from having seizures because of the cannabis. I already have bad epilepsy and have been for most of my life. I was diagnosed at age 9. :s
but yea most of the symptoms that stuff causes me are like really bad or potentially life threatening so yea.. If only, Most of the illnesses, ailments, and disorders I have, cannabis cures. it sucks so much! Most all my friends smoke though and ive always been 420 friendly, hell i even pass bongs and joints between peeps whenever they happen to come around. I can even be in the same room with someone smoking, so long as theres decent ventilation and they arent like blowing the smurf in my face (I hate that so much and so many ppl do it without knowing!)

If you are looking to pass some time, here are a couple of threads on the GroundBreaker.

Due to the price and size it has never been an overly common multitool, but many folks do have them even if they don' talk about them much.

Initial Look at SHOT 2012 (http://forum.multitool.org/index.php/topic,34718.0.html)

Comparison with Gerber's other large multitool, the Cable Dawg (http://forum.multitool.org/index.php/topic,46379.0.html)

Sorry to hear about the hospital stay. I sincerely hope you are getting better. As for the Ground Breaker...that is a very interesting tool you have there. You might be amazed at the sheer size of it all. Not something you will want to EDC unless your on a job site...then you just might be the envy of every electrician there.  :salute:

Oh god... spending time in a hospital, that right there is stuff horror movies (albeit very boring ones) are made off. Hope you get better soon.

I find that a bit of crazy helps in that situation so may I recommend reading Lynns (yay another female of the species) thread about
Camillus 'Les Stroud' SKTM Engage Multi-tool Review (http://forum.multitool.org/index.php/topic,51479.50.html)
Later she tried to sell it (public relations do not seem to be her strong suit, but at least she is aware of that) (http://forum.multitool.org/index.php/topic,55956.0.html)
And the fate the tool met (http://forum.multitool.org/index.php/topic,55957.0.html)

And I just wasted an hour re-reading those threads

If memory serves me correct, she tried to give it to me for free...but alas, I already had bought one by then. It is the highlight of my Les Stroud collection.

I hope someone finds the leftovers in the desert of Afghanistan and sends them back for warranty.

Years ago the term "head" was used to describe people that used or were addicted to drugs. I have not heard that term in a long time.
