This guy is a great teacher.  I'm a bad student  :dunno:.  I've really got to practice.  Why can't I absorb the truckers hitch?

Well, if it's any consolation, I'm even worse.

Good video. I only use three of those.

Bowline: good simple knot, but not to be trusted for anything critical in my experience.

Clove Hitch: excellent knot which everyone should know - both ways - with a free working end, and in the bight. One of my most used knots.

Figure of Eight. A fantastic knot which is a good foundation for a variety of different knots. Can be used as a stopper as shown, or for bends (both of similar and dissimilar ropes), fixed loops or sliding loops.

Replied just so I can find it easier.

Having an arsenal of knots is always good for something, sometime, even to just impress

Even though the only knots I really know are the clove hitch and the reef/square knot.

I have a couple of feet of paracord right here. I use it to practice some of these from time to time.
