I have two carabiners that I tend to frequently use.
The first is attached to my dog’s leash and I use it to carry some dog treats and a water bottle.

The other one is used on my dog’s long lead to attach the lead to different things. Here it is being used to attach the lead to a tree.

They are, especially modern ones that are able to lighter and smaller, while still being weight bearing.
