I recently acquired my first MultiMaster and am quite happy with it, but I have a question regarding the tools.
Every photo I have seen, including stock photos in the listing I got mine from, has a can opener as one of the tools. Mine has a strap cutter where the can opener should be. I am not complaining, because I don't open a lot of cans, but does anyone know why mine would have a strap cutter, when it was supposed to have a can opener?

That's an oddball. One of mine (needlenose) has a similar configuration, but has an (exclusive, I think) tanto blade. A company representative revealed that Kumaster made that one for an "independent contractor overseas", the crest on my knife leads me to believe military.
I strongly suggest you contact Kutmaster, they're the ones who helped me out with that mystery.

Is your gut hook sharpened? Mine really wasn't.

Thank you very much, Cody!
I'll shoot an email over to Kutmaster and see what they know. The cutter is ground well on each side of the cutting area. Not the sharpest, but not dull either. :)

wow :o that's an odd one,
and I can only say that I'd much rather have a hook blade in place of a can opener, consider yourself lucky!!
