What torches have you got in your car or truck?I have a 3Dcell mag,Mini-mag in the sunvisor and in my ruc-sacs wich are always there i have a Blackdiamond head lamp.

3D Maglite in the door pocket cheapo led for map reading am thinking of a tesco 2d led as well

I have a Streamlight Polypro Luxeon 4AA flashlight and a Princeton Tec EOS headlamp in each of my vehicles. IMO, headlamps are a must in a vehicle for repairs, and I like the light weight and waterproof durability of the Polypro flashlight. I also like that they use very common AA/AAA batteries. All of them are loaded with lithium batteries for leak-free longterm storage. I keep the Streamlights protected in Ripoffs holsters.
I also always have a BOB with me that contains a small, long-runtime AA flashlight (Gerber Infinity Ultra) and a Elektrolumens single D-cell LED flashlight and a battery adapter. With the battery adapter, I can run the Elektrolumens on a D, C, AA or AAA cell.

2 d cell maglite in the trailblazer. double a minimag in the jeep.

Just loaded up my new Blazer with...3D Mag in the door, AA incan in the center console, AA Nite Ize LED Mag in the glove box, and a GI anglehead flashlight in the back.

Gotta go with mag light 3d. Funny thing is it is the only place that I have a Mag light anymore. I kinda switched over to LED surefires.

I have a fenix p3d that doesn't work well anymore and the dealer doesn't want anything to do with it. It still works so downgraded to car duty. Used to have a mag 3d in there but alkaline doesn't do well in below zero temperature.

Thought I'd chime in with my low budget never-fail glovebox light - one of those battery-free, shake-activated LED lights I picked up at a CVS drugstore for $2. Not a ton of smooth, sweet light, but it sure beats any $$$ light that's got a dead battery!

I tend to think of them as dual use they are a handy source of long run light and a substitute hammer if you are really stuck

Yup!
Pop the coil spring out of the tailcap and fill the cap with a bunch of pennies (really fit them in there good so there's no rattle), then replace the coil and replace the tailcap.

In the Florida heat I find the batteries do not last that long in a flashlight in the car. When I got my Chevy Avalanche I hard wired a 12 rechargeable light into one of the saddlebags.

lets see;
in the glove is a small shake light (no bats) and a multi led len lensor (called recon).
behind the seats is a FreePlay crank light.
in the back (cargo area) is a generator/battery/air pump with a main front light and emergency lights on top/side (red&yellow).
in the first aid kit is a pen light and several micro lights (in and around).
in the b.o.b. (used for longer trips) is a len lensor headlamp, bigger shake light.
and what's on me all the time, E01, and another micro.
