Hello all,
Its been an interesting week. I got 6 old farm axes with broken handles recently. I will post once they are a little cleaned from rust. But for now a couple of the axes have makers marks..
1. collins homestead. Its painted blue.....easy to identify.
2. One only has..P C stamped on the head.
3. One is not readable but it looks like its a word inside a square box.
Im most interested in the one with PC stamp

This one I got from my grandfather who passed a few years ago.
No marks. But it will be fun to restore.

So the blue one is stamped China.
There are two with stamps.
One is heavily pitted with P C stamped. Maybe it's a date code?
The other one I thought might be a plumb. But now I think not. It's hard to even see the makers mark. But it looks like maybe a a word ending in S...
Handles on all of these were mangled. In bad shape. So I'm going to try a vinegar bath. And then wire brush.
The one with black marker has a crack in th eye. So ill try and reshape.
Should be a few good projects.
