Title: Unkown Folder in old Training Video
Post by: cody6268 on May 08, 2016, 02:58:16 AM
I was just watching an old extrication training film from the '70s and noticed one of the LA County firefighters cutting the plastic stripping on a window with a large folder.  I only saw the blade.  Looks to me like a Buck 110, which would have been around then, as I also saw what looked like brass bolsters.  But, then again, there were a ton of folders that had similar looking (and sized) clip point blades, as I have a Case Hunter two blade from the same era with a similarly shaped and sized (it's a bit bigger) blade.    The firefighter pulls out the blade at about 6:46 through the film.

You got me on that one.....

In the 80's I recall wondering how they could possibly improve TV.  It seemed perfect at the time.  Now, seeing old footage like that I am thankful someone way smarter than me came up with a way to make it better!
