Hey folks!
Today is a great day for me. After years of vain search, I finally found my Grail knife: a beautiful new old stock Wenger Skier, no metal saw version!
It has all the desirable unusual features, like hot stamped logo and old style can opener.
The only UNdesirable feature is the price I paid for it, more than double I ever paid for any other knife. But I mean, I just couldn't pass on it, could I?!
Here's a pic, and I'll post hand-on ones once it arrives in the mail! :mail:

Beautiful knife! Congrats on the find!
And it’s only money, you can always make more. It’s not like they're making that knife anymore though.

Congrats. Nothing like getting the grail so NO you could not have passed up on it. Just think, you'd be replaying the scenario over and over again. You'll have this SAK now for who knows how long. Money comes and goes.
-
Congrats. Gotta admit that I never even heard of it, but it was obviously a great find
-
Nice find, it's always great to get a grail SAK, now go figure out a new grail so the hunt can continue :D
-
You'll wonder how you got by without that strange lump of red plastic...
-
More pics! Some of us are getting pretty curious here!
-
Congrats mate! I would also like more pictures
[It's not failure if you learn something from it]

It's supposed to be for spreading wax all over your skis but it can also be used for waxing your legs.
probably

When it is a knife you have spent years looking for it is worth paying the extra to get one. You never know if you will find another one.

Oh, yes, we all know this . Here's one of my Grail knives, I was looking for it more than 5 years and paid extra price.

Congrats with your find!
Such a beautiful ugly, almost useless knife... Who can live without one? :tu:
However: It is not about the finding, it's about the searching. :)

Thanks folks, this is why I love this forum: great support!
I will post more pics once the knife arrives (all the way from Japan, so might take a while).
I got me other uncommon SAKs that I will be hunting for now (Vic ribbed Cadet or a Vic Apprentice), but not as elusive as this one, so it will definetly be a more "relaxed" search.
