If any US based members are willing to grab a couple Leatherman Bolsters from Costco, I'd be happy to cover the costs.

Hey man I’m heading to Costco today. I’ll check and see if they have it. Costco locations vary with their inventory so we’ll have to see.
Exactly how many do you want?
-
I am probably a bit late, but I'd take 2-3 if they are available.

They ran out anyway. They had the price sign but they had flashlights instead. The associate did say more will arrive. I’ll check again when I get a chance. Sorry. Must be a popular model.
Curious though, why get them? They seem like entry level tools. I would think the Rebar would offer more in a compact form.
The only thing that would make me get them is that for $40 and a lifetime warranty it’s an incredible value. Something I wouldn’t mind lending and losing. But there are better tools out there.
-
They had been closing them out at $20. I have little interest in them other than that are an exclusive that isn't available at Costco in Canada. Kind of like wanting something just because someone says that you can't have it. :D

Understood!!! I asked cause I wasn’t sure if I should grab a few myself.
I’ll keep an eye out Sir for you.

I am not sure when I can go by the Costco I bought my Bolsters from. But I can order them online for $44.99 (I think they charge $5 for shipping).
-
In mine it’s $40 in-store and $45 online.
-
The same for me. I paid $40 each for the 2 Bolsters I bought in-store.
-
My Costco was out of Bolsters. No sign they were ever in the store.
-
I think I saw the Bolster in my Costco once, a few months ago. I visit Costco weekly, always keep an eye on the fable .97 ending prices. I dont recall seeing them at $20.
-
Hello Sir,
I had the time to go to Costco. Looks like they no longer sell it. Sorry. But maybe other members can chime in.
-
I appreciate your efforts!
Thank you for looking!

No worries. You have always been nice to me. Least I could do.
-
Hello Sir, they are back in stock. Cheaper as well. Now $30. Are you still looking for 1? I can head back to Costco and ship it out though may need some guidance on how to ship outside of US.
-
I am in for three, I have PayPal standing by and a US address to make it easy for you if you are up for it!
Send me a PM with your details.

Ok that was quick, just saw them 2 days ago and now it’s gone. I’m going to try another location but it may be either tomorrow or this weekend.
Sorry brother. I should have grabbed them when I saw it.
-
All good!
Now I feel guilty that you are running all over town for them! :ahhh
Def

No worries. Glad I found them. The other Costco was along my work commute.
Anyway the 3 MTs are locked and loaded. Just waiting for the address👍

Just don't mention what you used to run all over town for, when you were younger and more flexible.

I feel like there’s a good story there somewhere. The kind that needs alcoholic lubrication to tease out. :pok:

That's exactly the story. Grant never needed alcohol to misbehave in these ways.

I like to think that my experience more than makes up for my lack of flexibility these days.

I wish I had a good photo of you from the 90's. I would show everyone.
-
From the 90's you say?
Here's one of my old acapella boy band, the Flatulosos. I'm the one in the back.
:D

I have to admit it. You are the most handsome man that I have ever seen.
Dreamy is an understatement
I might add that the photo sure does remind me of the early 2000's. Not so much the 90's
-
Looks like we are at the same generation. 80s were my happy days myself.
-
Are you sure? I thought Happy Days was from the 70's?
:D

2000's?
With that much hair gel?
Damn, I was really behind the times!

No way. I think you were right on time with that style. If you looked like the guy in my avatar in the 90's, that would have been insane.

Sunday Monday were mine.

I'll have you know I was insane before it was cool.

Sad to say I lived a conservative life in my younger days. I was a good boy for the most part!
-
You think that you were a good boy? Did you know Inky was a Rabbi?
Ask him about the time Tamika blessed him!

My eyes keep getting wider and wider with this thread.
Too bad we are all widespread. Would be nice if we all met up with other members.
-
We used to do meet ups. The Brits used to do one every year, pre-pandemic, and we had the odd NA meetups as well. I went to Maine and met a bunch of members, I believe Mr. Whippy did one at his home in New England (I believe Maryland?) and there was another done at the Leatherman factory, where members were given a tour and treated like royalty.
There may have been more but I can't recall everything we've done over the past 16 years.
I am actually supposed to be touring much of the US right now on a job, but it kind of fell through.
Def
-
I used to travel a lot as well before I switched jobs. Well maybe next time we can all do a mini-meet.
-
Here's a link to the Sebago meet. It was so long ago that three of the members there have since passed away. I'm glad I had the opportunity to spend time with them.

I had to stop at the 1st page as I wanted go through the pics again. So much shiny things! A bit sad about the members that passed away.
Sounds like everyone had fun!
Can Clifford be an honorary MTO member?
-
Sure, he looks like he'd enjoy some leftover Punishment Chicken! :D
