Just got my first Svord and I have to say I love the thing. The design has always intrigued me. I have heard they do not come very sharp, but mine is pretty sharp out of the box errr..... plastic sleeve. :D I got the mini Peasant and am very pleased with the size. I took it apart to clean and I absolutely love how simple it is to take apart and put back together. I see a few more in my future. I am wanting the white as well as a wood handled model. How me your Svords guys!

Nice work. I really like how thin it is. :tu:
Those are custom scales right?
-
Never mind. Just noticed they offer them in these Zinc scales. Very cool. :tu:
Is it riveted together?
-
I can't imagine that thin handle is comfortable to use, or are they meant to be modded with new scales?
This is the only pic I have right now. It's nice to have as a collector's piece but just don't see myself ever use it.

Sweet looking Svord. :tu:
I'm new to the Svords. What model is that?
-
That rough finish on the blue one gives it character. I imagine that metal stem of the blade would dig in your thigh while in your pocket.

You know I thought the same, but carried it today loose in my pocket with my keys, Style CS, lighter, and RAT I clipped to the pocket and I didn't notice and discomfort. I'm used to carrying a lot in my pocket though. I bet most people would probably find it uncomfortable loose in a pocket.
-
I have several but never use them. The metal handled ones rattle, move and feel unfinished. I think there is a s svord thread somewhere about the various models, but I am on tapa and can not search easily.

It's the wood handled one with a little bit of reshaping. I took off the pointy end at the butt and made everything a bit more rounded, then refinished the handle with oil and varnish.

Now that I look at the picture more closely I see two different knives. I thought all four pictures were the same knife at first. I thought the Svord had a lockback on it.

I modified one (http://forum.multitool.org/index.php/topic,52258) recently. Gave it to a friend as a b-day gift.
Reversed and reshaped the handles. Made copper liners.

Very cool! I really like the look of it and you did a great job on it. :tu:

You wasted your palindromic post.
I never got feedback from kirk so may have to make some more for research.

Lovely mod there mate! :)
Sent from the astropathic choir.

I didn't want to use the red handled kitchen knives my wife bought to match her Christmas décor, so I reached into my nightstand and grabbed a knife I recently acquired, a mini Peasant.

I was looking for the club and found this old thread, so I decided to perform a little thread resurrection :D

You are welcome, Dan

I read a post that Steve wrote explaining the patina on a knife of his was due to cutting steak. I immediately thought that I needed to do the same thing. I think it is going to take multiple attempts

Anyone else ever flip the handle around on their knife? I've had this knife like this for years, and frankly think it feels better than the normal way.

Today is my birthday. Time to add a little steak patina to my mini Peasant :D

My wife is under the weather, so I did some food prep tonight for tomorrow's meal. These veggies (carrot, parsnip, mushroom, onion, and garlic) will go into a slow cooker with a chuck roast, canned soup and beef stock tomorrow morning before I leave for work. When I arrive home, it will be served with mashed potatoes and green peas.

Yep! See my posts from 2014 ( :o ) earlier in this thread. I, too, find it more comfortable! Yours looks great! :tu:

I plan to cook these veggies on the outdoor griddle to have with grilled pork tenderloin. Just need the rain to clear out

You will have to get your own Peasant, Dan. That one is spoken for :D

He relinquished possession a few minutes after the photo was taken. :D

My wife is away tending to her ailing mother, so I am fending for myself tonight. In the hopes that I would continue on the diet that she has helped (https://emoticons.datahamster.com/gonnagetit.gif) me with over the past 3 months (15 pounds lost so far :tu:), she fixed me some tuna salad and informed me of a tomato that I could slice to go with it. Instead, I pulled out the Mini Peasant that I keep in my nightstand for kitchen duty (the only duty it has seen) and commenced to prepping my meal, a manly steak sandwich :viking:
