In of the things that made me choose celidor SAK's over alox for many years was because of the scale tools.

I do often match up my SAK with the Leatherman style ps and does get a tweezer, but for the toothpick (or plastic poker) and the pin i didn't find any good alternatives and I didn't want a big tube on my keychain, the custom scale drawer is a bit out of my budget right now and I don't have the skill or tools to try to make slots in the alox scales. But a couple of night ago when I couldn't sleep I realized that the answer was under my bed the whole time!
Some scrap leather, a d-ring, a black snap and some extra minutes and this is what came out.. I will try it for some time and if it still does the job I will make a nicer one or two with finished edges and so on..

Freat idea and nicely done! :like:

Nice idea, but in order to solve this issue, I carry an Executive with whatever Alox I happen to be carrying.

I have tried with a classic SD but it feels redundant to the style ps and still no good way to carrying the pin

I realized that the "normal" pin was a bit tricky to get out so I switched to this other stile from the sewing box

Simple and stealthy. Nice solution. I also like/prefet the pin with the ball top. I have switched both my Explorer pins for the ball top version. So much easier to remove it from the SAK.

Thanks! I have tried the ball top ones in SAK's before but I didn't really like how it sat and I think it interfered with the corkscrew.. Don't really remember but in this setup it is the clear winnerNice solution. :tu:
Thanks!

I love your idea!
Since I carry my MiniChamp in my pocket and not on a belt, I'm thinking of building off of your idea.
I would just need this part:

No snap needed as it wouldn't close. I may have to put a bigger ring on my MiniChamp for the leather, but perhaps a softer leather would do.
Thank you for posting your solution, it has inspired me!

Nice idea, Kottsie! I may have to try that. :tu:

Good idea and like the minimalistic design. :like:
I carry those 3 items in my small tin box FAK.

Give it a go!
I did this to keep track of my needles, very soft and thin leather
There are room to but a d ring in the bottom but I just have it like this in a box so no need(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20190312/3773448beb51db7fd9dfe0cbadbd738a.jpg)

Great solution, I think this will become a trend :hatsoff:

Where do you keep the pin? :pok:
Open one of the tools and drop it in the slot of the frame.

I would probably lose the pin within a day :P

I do that with my stayglow climber, I keep a magnetic pin under the hook
