I never thought I'd own one of my personal grails, an early Pioneer with cutout scale. But I'm happy to say I'm now the proud owner of this one.

Awlsome!
[It's not failure if you learn something from it]

Awesome! The quarter-round awl, aesthetically (and even functionally) is my favorite SAK component. Not only does it work well, it puts actually round (versus oblong with the current) holes in leather, and works as a marlinspike without cutting the line.
I have a 1950s Ranger and 1942 Soldier with that tool, but not a 93mm. My oldest is from the 1960s, an Albany Felts Settler.

Thanks guys! Am I correct in assuming that this SAK must date to1957-1961?

A bit of polishing work on the blade to remove the brown stuff...
But what a looker already!!

Thanks you guys. Yes, I'll clean it up just a bit, and it does need a drop of oil but otherwise it's quite a dandy. Super glad to have it.

I love it! That's a knife with tales to tell.

So awesome, congrats!
