Yes it's that time of year again- time for my birthday giveaway!
This year I found something a bit special since it's a big year- a Leatherman Charge SLV, a perfect match for my rapidly greying hair....

For those not familiar with the SLV, it is basically the same as a Charge AL which means it's an aluminum model, only instead of black anodized handle scales these are grey, and this model was an exclusive to Costco a number of years ago.

Having passed this milestone 361 days ago, allow me to pass on what to expect. You awake to feel exactly the same as you did the day before. There is a slight murmering of being 40, but you figure it's not all that bad after all really. Everyone takes the piss, and you shrug it off and have a good giggle with them, and once the day is passed you resume business as normal. A few weeks later reality sets in, and all you can think is "Oh, SMURF! I've officially passed my shag by date" :dwts: My realisation came when I remembered training up a 38 year old woman several years before, who's eldest daughter had just had a kid .... I was now old enough to be a grandparent!!!
So basically what I'm saying is that if you fel bad at any point on your special day, don't worry it gets a lot worse later :rofl: :rofl:

40 is not so bad, 50 starts to feel like you "getting on a bit" but when you hit the 60's you can't even tell yourself your aren't really old yet (and even if you did, your body will soon remind you that you aren't) ;)

You are a youngster and 40 is the new 29 today.
When I turned 40 (over 15 years ago) I dropped 30lbs in two months and was in the best shape of my life. You still have the best years ahead if you stay in shape.
