Title: 111mm dating?
Post by: ThundahBeagle on May 19, 2018, 05:05:08 PM
I've seen a lot online and in our stickies about SAK dating. This seems to concentrate around 91mm and 84mm with information on some other sizes once in a while.

We know that the Rucksack, for example, was discontinued in 2017, but, when was it first introduced? Also, the front tang stamp is the 4-line  type with Rostfrei and a large V in Victorinox, but the back of the tang simply states "Patented." There is no cross and bow symbol to go on.

Dating by the big V and tool evolution seems possible but I wondered if the 111mm followed any different paths or timelines other than side lock to liner, and other than the introduction of the one hand openers.

Anyone?
