Title: Kick with pocket clip
Post by: prime77 on October 25, 2006, 10:05:47 AM
I got the pocket clip for the Kick this morning in the mail  and carried for the day.  It works good.  Does anyone know what the hole in the clip is for? I noticed the SideClip has the same hole in it's clip.  Is it for a small laynard ring?

I am pretty certain it is for a lanyard ring.  If you use a small one, like the type found on SAKs, it should fit in there quite well and be farly unobtrusive.

DAmn, I don't like where the Kick has the clip attached.  It has it in the bottom of the multitool, the part that opens, unlike the sideclip, which has it on the top.  Whenever I had the clip on my wave, and wore it, it would open in my pocket so that I would have the tool i the shape of an L in my pocket.  Why can't LM put it on the top side?  That way, no matter how loose your tool, it won't open?

Good point Navajerro.

Prime is this true? Does it open?

I know some people that have that same problem with the Charge.  I put it in my left pocket, far left side and it never opens on me.  The pants keep it shut.

The Kick did open a couple of times.  Cacherx4 is right if you put it in left pocket it keeps the tool shut.

I just got a pocket clip for my Kick.  It's ok, but even with the little tab on the top side, it doesn't stay firmly in place.  I can easily swivel it from side to side by about a 1/4" before the tab stops it.  The pins are what actually allows it to move that little bit, even after I tried tightening them.  Oh well, it still works, so I guess it's just one of those minor annoyances.   :-\

I had the same swivel problem with mine.  I bent the little tab a little more and it didn't swivel as much.
