It’s been going on for a while and it’s gotten bad enough to where she went to the doc and they said to have surgery. It’s her pinky and ring finger, it’s numb and there in a weird position, then she gets a shock of pain through her arm. Funny thing is it has nothing to do with her hand it’s the ulnar nerve in her elbow. It’s in the wrong position and they have to cut the elbow open and move the nerve around.. after that stitch her up and supposedly put a cast on her, guess we’ll find out, but she has to be in very early and I won’t be on here till later that night :( ! Since we don’t drive we would normally get transportation through her medical but since the kids girlfriend has the day off she’s willing to drive us, and stay with me for the time she’s in surgery since I can’t be left alone. It might not be much being a simple cut and nerve, but since she has blood clotting we worry..
So I’m just asking you guys to keep her in your thoughts for while she’ll be in surgery, it’s been bad enough the last couple days since she’s been worried, that and they’ve cut a few of her Rx cold turkey which has had a very bad side effect! Yet at the same time she’s dropped 7lbs since three of the ones she’s had to cut have a side effect of weight gainer, so she’s loving that! But the nervice condition, stress and pain is through the roof especially with her ocd.. well, she’s awake and starting to go through her checking everything before doing anything, and I know she has something in mind to do, plus I have a downed branch from the storm last night, but hey, at least the temps down a whole 20° I’m loving this! Thanks guys!

Sorry she needs to go through this, MP.
The good news is tat Ulnar nerve relocation is a really common procedure with good results. :tu:
But I'll be thinking of you guys anyway. Be sure to let us know how it goes!
Best wishes,

Thanks guys, we just had a not to good interaction, she passed out in the shower again, not just once but twice, I had her pined in the corner so she couldn’t fall, then after she came around and I got her to the bed and she crashed. After that she says at least this time I got to the bed before crashing  um hun, you crashed twice in the shower, “no I didn’t” honey I had you pined, your arms dropped, and I spoke to you, “no you didn’t” my point exactly, you were out!
I think this makes it the 3rd time she’s crashed, 2nd in the shower, I think the heat and nervousness have an effect, let alone the Rx. But I’ll leep you guys up to date with the surgery. Thanks

What multitool are you going to get the surgeon to use for the procedure? I would suggest a SOG PowerPlier, as the SOG blades are usually the sharpest, and the compound leverage should really help getting a hold of a nerve or tendon to move it around!
:D
Hang in there Justin- we are all here for you guys!

Hope everything works out and life is back to normal soon JR, take care. :salute:

I suggest a SAK. Maybe a Mechanic. We all know that SAK blades can be made scalpel sharp, and the teeny little precise SAK pliers would be better for nerves. :P

Good luck to you both
And hope that the operation goes smoothly for her :tu:

We’re back!
They said the surgery was good, although the Mrs isn’t to happy, yet she was thrilled in that one pic, I took a minute video cause she was freaking hilarious, the Rx was starting to take effect and she had a lisp, oh it was good! So she’s home and laid up in bed she’s got a freaking HUGE cast, yet all she got was a little slice in the elbow, but she can’t move it, and all for a month! And yes she’s already hit me in the head with that freaking thing! I took her shoe off and she moved hitting me in the head! Worst part is that thing is on my side of the bed so I sooo see getting clonked with that thing! She’s running on no sleep from last night from being so worried, so she’s already out, lol.. she has to go back in a week for the doc to take the wrapping off then we get to see the cast, she’s got no friends so only me the two kids and the kids gf are really going to be the only ones to sign it, but I told her I’m sure everyone on here would want their names put on, lol.. alright, thank you everyone for the support, I’ll keep everyone up to date on everything, and maybe so more goofy pics, lol..

I am happy to read that all is well and you are both at home.
JR, you are a very, very brave man to post pictures where she can see them. I would not close my eyes if you if she catches your postings.
Take care of the patient, make the boys do the work...

Ahh, can’t be any worse of any stuff she’s posted of me, I mean heck she took a pic of the Xmas tree one year and posted it on Facebook, everyone said it looked good and yet I looked at it and said “um, you need to take this down!” No one saw that I was in the room behind the tree standing in the doorway getting dressed after a shower, and oh yeah my butt cheeks were it totally view! So she was like OMG, and took it down, but then made it into our Xmas card with a bow covering me and a quote that said “merry Xmas, enjoy the bows, buns and balls” I’d post it but can’t do to rules.. but heck here’s me,

JR,
Glad to know the surgery went well. Best wishes to your wife, and as others have said, here to a full recovery.
Judging by the pics you just posted of her, you'll be in the hospital next. Good luck.

Good to hear everything went well, be sure to put my name on her cast :salute:

Just seeing the post, sorry I'm late. I'm glad it went well and the Mrs. has my prayers for a speedy recovery. That cast's gonna be so uncomfortable for a month but she should be pain free once this is all done.

glad to hear things wet well

Update:
She went in to have that big freaking tank taken off, result is everything looks good, she put her hand flat on the table and her pinky laid flat, she’s got control of it, it and her ring finger are still numb but the doc said thats norm. After she got the ok they wrapped the elbow back up but this time with a fiberglass, this is much lighter then the other, unfortunately she picked purple(her fav color) so I don’t see being able to write names on it :( maybe with a whiteout which I don’t have.. sorry

Thanks for the update. Hang in there MrsSabrina. It'll all be behind you soon enough.
