Title: Ever wonder what mosquito looks like up close? (not for the squeamish)
Post by: jzmtl on July 04, 2009, 04:04:34 AM: So the %^$&#@ sneaked in the house and tried to eat me, but I manage to catch it. The tip of the legs have been damaged in the process so what you see is not whole. Not sure what those red things are, eggs?

Looks like its carrying the eggs of some kind of parasite :P

I'm also curious about those red globules.

Thought skeeters laid their eggs in stagnant water. As far as I know, skeeters don't carry their eggs around with them like some spiders do.

Maybe an entomologist will drop by and enlighten us.

I thought so too, from what I found that doesn't look like mosquito's egg at all, so I'm clueless on what it is. Too bad my camera is ancient and only 4 mega pixel, or I'll be able to get more detail.
