Title: Sanrenmu keychain pry bars
Post by: BePrepared on March 30, 2018, 02:05:12 PM
So I got a bit click-happy ::)  a few weekends ago and bought three Sanremu pry bar key chain multi-tools from one of the well known Chinese shopping sites. They had various combinations of 3-packs, but not the 3 I liked together (the the packs were not in stock), so I ordered individually, at about £2.50 each.

I'd been looking for a small pry bar type tool (to save the file/blade on my LM PS4 Squirt that I EDC).  Atwood prybabies  are out of price range, and an authentic pico widgy is not cost-effective when shipping to UK is included in price.

These are stainless steel, based on the website, and seem OK.  I was slightly disappointed to find the internal wrench cut-out didn't seem to be cleanly made (or had it been 'tested' and damaged?)  :(

However, the hex slot holder is decent.

Extra points to anyone who was asking why I didn't get a Gerber Shard. One day I will.  But since ordering these Sanrenmu items I got a NexTool TaoBar, which I much prefer.

One just can't not order cheap keychain tools. :)

I have a Sanrenmu GJ039Z, although I actually wanted a GJ033Z, but it was out of stock everywhere when I was looking for it a good year ago. I guess it's back in production then.

SRM keychain toold are nice, if not original - I have a few and they get used e.g. in the kitchen for bottles, cans, prying containers open..

also look for the EDCGear ones too, at the usual sites.

Hah! The middle one that looks like a giant key is exactly the same design as The Atom in Kickstarter. I believe the Atom never made 2nd production as there were QC problem which is too bad as I really like the design.
