Title: What is your favorite SwissTool variation/plier head?
Post by: Leatherman123 on November 22, 2008, 08:31:53 PM: My favorite is the RS model. I don't like the SwissTool files, so that is might be why... The belt cutter is fantastic, one of the best serrated blades, ever! Oh, and my favorite plier head is the '98 design. I like the blunt pliers (for certain tasks) and how there is a hard wire cutter and a regular. I dislike the current design because it has wire cutters, soft wire cutters, and hard wire cutters. I think that's stupid because the wire cutters are REALLY short because of soft wire cutter!

Post by: Dunc on November 22, 2008, 08:37:28 PM: RS for me . I prefer to older plier heads because the handles are closer together and easier to hold . But I've never had an RS with early pliers :(

I really don't like the narrower opening jaws of the newer pliers, but I can live with them if it makes them stronger.

2001 here in the UK . I would have thought the first ones would have had 98 / 99 heads
