It's almost the exact same plot as Black Panther which I saw a few months ago on netflix, wasn't as boring tho, a bit more enjoyable but very heavy on the CGI. The movies are practically the same.

Watched Bandersnatch on Netflix last night for the second time with my gf (the first time I watched it I watched it by myself with different outcomes). Quite a fun and interesting experience. 8/10
I had mild food poisoning from something I ate Friday, spent the best part of Saturday on the couch.....and watched this movie.

I don't know if I could finish watching it under normal conditions, but it was a fascinating movie.......some of those repetitive elements almost hypnotized me......
No matter what it was terribly well executed, I've never finished watching a "movie like that" :salute: 8/10

I just want to start out by saying; it was waaaaaay better than I originally thought. First of all; I grew up watching the original transformers cartoons TV series that aired from 1984 and up the late 80s, as well as "The Transformers The Movie" (Yes that was what it was called) from 1986, and I don't care if they were made to sell toys, I absolutely loved them as a kid, even though I grew up in the 90s and all the other kids were talking about Jurassic park, Batman and tamagotchis, I was watching the reruns of the original transformers cartoons and I had all the toys as well, and I just didn't care...I enjoyed watching giant robots smash the living crap out of each other.
Anyway, Bumblebee (2018) is a lot more true to the original franchise and it was AWESOME to watch all my favourite Decepticons in the beginning and in their true form and correctly voiced too, Soundwave having this very electronic voice and Shockwave having this almost nerdy voice.. that brought back a lot of memories, especially watching Soundwave unleash Ravage as well....super awesome detail to include, AWESOME I loved it!
Anyway, I gave it 8 out of 10 because, first of all John Cena is in it, playing the most generic and seen before military guy character, so that's a point off. Also in the original series the autobot escaped cybertron all together and the Decepticons followed them, and in a space fight where the Decepticons bonded the autobot ship they all crashed on earth 3 (I think) billion years ago and then they awoke after an earth quake in the mountain they crashed into, in the Bumblebee movie the autobot escaped cypertron in individual escape pods and bumblebee was given the task of securing earth for the autobot to recolonise. This is not a big deal, but it just bothered me, and lastly I think theres too much personal stuff with the chick that plays the main character, for me I don't care about all that character build-up an =d all their personal problems, i just want to see giant robots smash each other.

Peppermint 7 out of 10.I liked all three of them and would probably order them Red Sparrow > Equalizer 2 > Peppermint, but really they are all good action flicks.

Definitely not....honestly the worst horror movie I have ever seen...it’s not scary, it’s not entertaining, story makes no sense....
I really don’t understand why this movie was ever made or who thought it would be a good idea to release it long after people stopped caring about slender man

While normally this isn't my kind of film, I happened to watch the first movie and really liked it so I watched vol.2 also and liked that as well.
One doesn't have to know all the associated lore, which is a huge plus for people like me, who, well... don't know all the associated lore :D
All in all, both films are done well, with a coherent story line, with character developement and aesthetically pleasing without going over the board with computer assisted special effects.
TLDR; Fun but not daft :tu:

Personally I think “the spy who loved me” was the best James Bond film with Roger Moore.
“View To A Kill” biggest problem is that Roger Moore is just too old in the movie, if my memory serves me right; Roger Moore was in his late 50s during the shooting of the film.
With that said; I agree that “View To A Kill” is still a great movie.
Even though the James Bond films that Roger Moore starred in are a product of their time, and the 1970s to early 1980s were a different time. Roger Moore still remains one of my favorites who played James Bond, a long with Sean Connery and Pierce Brosnan.
I’m not saying I think “Die Another Day” was a good movie, but “Goldeneye” still remains my favorite James Bond of all time.

I don’t think “Skyfall” was as bad as “quantum of solace”, which had the worst villain ever in James Bond’s history, namely “Dominic Green”. He was not scary, and was nothing really more than just a scam artist, scamming investors with BS about going green and buying up water resources in areas with drought. Overall he had nothing memorable about him, and might as well just had been another meaningless henchman.
But the main problem with Daniel Craig’s movies is there’s just too much personal crap in them.
- Casino Royale: blah blah about him becoming a 00 Agent and his love for Vesper.
- Quantum Of Solace: basically just a whole movie about his personal hunt for the henchmen who made Vesper betray him.....or something, I don’t even know, not even sure what’s going on in this movie..
- Skyfall: okay here there is a terrorist, but there’s still too much about his past in it and also about how he is getting old
- Spectre: okay (spoiler alert) here his step brother is the overlord bad guy thing of spectre, but again too much personal stuff about not only James Bond but also the Pale king / Mr. white and his daughter
And here’s the thing! ...no one cares about all this personal garbage....James Bond is a spy movie and that’s what we want to see.
There’s none of this personal garbage in any of the previous James Bond films.
Even the ones with Timothy Dalton were a lot more true to the genre. I will say though that even though the James Bond movie staring Timothy Dalton are a bit 80s, I do think that he does give a good performance in them, and I think he did a decent enough job considering he had to take over the role from Roger Moore.
I think this is also why his James Bond movies remains fairly forgotten, because Timothy Dalton’s James Bond movies were right between Roger Moore and Pierce Brosnan’s James Bond movies, both of which were a lot bigger and more well known actors at their time, where as Timothy Dalton was never really a big actor.
To be honest, all I really know Timothy Dalton For was the 3 James Bond movies he started in and his fairy small role in Flash Gordon (1980). :think:

The only Bond movie with Daniel Craig i enjoyed was Casino Royale, since this was basically a remake of a classic. I also like Eva Green, so that helped :whistle: The rest of the Bond movies with him i watched one time, and that will be it. No need to watch again.

I meant like; more true to the “spy / secret agent” genre.
I haven’t read the books, but usually if you read the book and watch a movie based of it; you end up really disappointed....well plus, it shouldn’t be a prerequisite to read a book before you can watch a movie anyway.
Speaking of casino royale....let’s not forget that there was also a Casino Royale made in 1967.....actually let’s not; it’s better that remains forgotten, as that was just painful to watch and should never have existed

I really don't understand how this movie is so heavily praised by critics and has a 98% on rotten tomatoes?
It is literally just another boogeyman story with the typical cliche storyline of a single mother living alone with her annoying kid in a big old scary house.
...and to add to it all you don't even really get to see "The Babadook" ...just a few shadows and a few dark scenes where you can see some dark almost cartoon like figure move around.
To make matters worse, it's not even scary ...even the easily spooked girl I watched it with; said that she didn't find it scary, and we both agreed that we found the kid to be a constant irritation throughout the whole movie.
I don't care what anyone says, don't watch this movie...it's just garbage. ...Not even the "So bad its good" kind....it really is just garbage!

It was the only thing that was on last night, so I thought I give it a go.
Even though it is an old movie in terms of Its paste, it still kept me entertained most of the way through.
Apart from a few minor details they managed to get most of the vehicles and other items correct for WW2.
Overall; it wouldn’t be something that I would watch on a regular basis, but not a bad movie.

I’m giving it a fairly low score because I was just expecting more of it and I feel like they could have done better.
For a movie that is the third installment after; Da Vinci Code and Angles & Demons, it had all the potential but I felt like it could have been better.
1st half of the movie started out pretty epic and was well entertaining, but the all through the 2nd half I was just bored....even though I haven’t read the book, it was just so predictable as to how it would end, that it wasn’t even thrilling at the end.
Not going to post any spoilers, but if you have seen the first two movies; you will know what I mean

A YouTuber I follow recently reviewed this movie, so I thought I’d try to watch it too....and oh my god is it terrible and cringe worthy!
I don’t even understand why this was made...it’s supposed to make Vanilla Ice look cool, but he is just a total incompetent annoying jerk throughout the whole movie, and all he really does is drive around on his motorcycle and sing and dance....all while trying to get with this one chick....and then there’s some kind of sub plot about some men (who are supposed to be policemen, even though they don’t look or act like policemen) who are after her farther...for some reason...which is never really explained.
So yeah; the guy who is supposed to be cool, is just an incompetent annoying jerk and the plot makes no sense...and there are so many weird and cringe worthy scenes in this movie too.
I really don’t understand why this movie was made.
I mean this is almost like “Starwars holiday special ” kind of bad.

Don’t know what I was expecting of this movie, but with big names like John Malkovich and Jeremy Irons, I thought it would have something going for it.
But the only one I actually liked and cared about in the whole movie was the dragon.
This is quite possibly the worst performance I have ever seen from John Malkovich as the evil king, his line deliveries are just god awful in this movie, and he feels extremely miscast.
Jeremy Irons did what he could do with what he had to work with, but certainly not his finest work.
It also has Robert Carlyle playing an evil wizard / sorcerer, but he is just not really that convincing in his acting or scary at all.
The main protagonists played by Ed Speleers, who was 17 years old at the time of the recordings; gives a good enough performance as a young and unwise farm boy. But it is his role that also makes him kind of annoying in the movie.
And here’s another problem; he was 17 at the time in the movie and the girl playing “the young princess” was around 30 at the time in the movie, and the age difference is extremely obvious too.
The princess played by Sienna Guillory also gives a good performance for what she had to work with, but she never really got enough screen time to really make you care about character.
Like with Jeremy Irons; Her entire screen time feels extremely rushed, and you just don’t really get attached to their characters at all.
And that’s the thing; the whole movie just feels like you are rushing through it, the whole movie feels like it just takes place in a day.
Again; the only one I really cared about during the whole movie was the Dragon. It gives the most convincing performance and it is voiced by Rachel Weisz who’s voice gives the dragon a very noble and likable character. Which is the only reason for me giving the movie 3 / 10 and not 01 / 10.
But it is yet another movie based on a book, and it just doesn’t really seem to work out to well most of the time they try to make a movie based on a book, sort of like movies based on video games.

The first James Bond film is a masterpiece regardless of how you look at it.
Even for a movie that’s 57 years old, it doesn’t feel slow paste or boring at any times.
What I really also is how the henchmen who are not important to the progression of the storyline; are not introduced to the audience (for instance the 3 “blind” men), it may sound silly but it keeps the story limited to the characters that are relevant for the story and makes it a lot easier to follow what’s going on.
James Bond is played by Sean Connery who is IMO spot on perfect for the role of 007, and he played the role perfectly too.
The super villain Dr. No played by Joseph Wiseman, is spot on perfect too. He does a fantastic job at playing this ruthless and stone cold criminal mastermind. So much so; I’d almost say he it one of my favorite Bond villains.
Even Ursula Andress, who was fairly unknown and didn’t have any former acting career, does a great and convincing job at playing this sea shell diving girl.
Overall; an absolute masterpiece of a movie

James Bond is played by Sean Connery who is IMO spot on perfect for the role of 007, and he played the role perfectly too.
The super villain Dr. No played by Joseph Wiseman, is spot on perfect too. He does a fantastic job at playing this ruthless and stone cold criminal mastermind. So much so; I’d almost say he it one of my favorite Bond villains.
Even Ursula Andress, who was fairly unknown and didn’t have any former acting career, does a great and convincing job at playing this sea shell diving girl.
Overall; an absolute masterpiece of a movie

I have never heard about this movie before, and usually I am not a fan of animated movies, but I thought I’d give it a try anyway.
First off; I don’t want to say that it is a bad movie, because it’s not! ...the movie does a good job at keeping you planted to the screen wondering what has happened and what will be next....but that’s also what I don’t like about it, is it ends with “so what happens next?”.
For the same reason, I don’t really have much more to say about it. And that’s why I am giving it a medium score.
The main character (appropriately named “9”) is voiced by Elijah Wood, whom we all know as “Frodo” from Lord of the Rings, who does a great job at voicing the main character.
John C. Reilly whom we know from different comedy movies, voices one of the other characters (character named “5”)
Martin Landau who played Leonard in North by Northwest (1959) also voices one of the characters (“2”).
That’s really all I have to say about it.

I only heard about this film from "50 worst movies ever made" and apparently it's a Canadian movie, that was filmed entirely in Canada, and only ever released in Canada. Even though the storyline takes place un the US.
I must say that it took me 3 attempts to try and finish watching this movie, first time I turned it off after about 20 min because of how terrible it is, second time I just fell asleep while trying to watch it...and this third time I think I only managed to finish watching it because I was working while watching it.
And oh man, this movie is bad. It has to be the only movie I have ever seen where you see on the actors that they don't even understand the plot or what is even going on in the movie...and there are so many things that just don't make any sense or is even explained in this movie.
So the storyline goes with something like, that the US government has outlawed gasoline / petrol powered vehicles in an effort to counteract the overuse of natural resources. But then there are rebels called "burners" who still drives their petrol vehicles around the desert (for some reason) and then the government has deployed what I think is supposed to be a police force to chase the burners (and I am not sure if they are meant to arrest the "burners" or kill them) using petrol powered bikes (because electrical bikes were not fast enough or something).
...and there are just so many things wrong with this movie that I don't even know where to start...

Before I start going into any detail about this movie, there are a few things to be clear about first:
1) This movie is based on the first Transformers series (referred to as G1) which aired on TV from 1984 to 1987.
2) This movie and the G1 TV series was made to help boost toy sales, this was never intended to be visually impressive or really do anything other than show off what the “cartoon versions” of the toys could do and where they fit in.
3) If not obvious already; the target audience for this movie was kids.
Okay so with that said; let’s move on!
The movie; which is correctly titled “The Transformers The movie”, that’s not a typo, is fun for what it is and also quite entertaining. I’m also surprised how violent it really is for something intended for kids to watch, then again the TV series wasn’t much different and regardless of how you look at it; it is a franchise about giant robots smashing the snot out of each other.
The movie holds nothing back either, from the very beginning of it, a lot of the known auto bots were literally shot to pieces by the decepticons (in reality to make way for a new line of toys) and for the entire first half of the movie it almost nene stop fight / battle scenes.
I don’t want to post any real major spoilers but I think they made a mistake by killing off who’s likely the biggest name within the autobots, and the replacement isn’t even remotely as likable or anything.
But my main complaint story wise is the part that takes place on “junk planet”, I think this whole part should have been either cut way shorter or just left out completely. There are tons of new characters introduced constantly and there’s no real point to them for the main storyline and we never really get to find out anything about them at all. And the whole dance party or celebration scene is just cringeworthy.
Anyway apart from that the movie kept me entertained pretty much all the way through.
But is it a good movie, well the answer will be no, it isn’t. It is pretty cheesy in a lot of the dialogue and unless you grew up watching the G1 TV series, I don’t think you will enjoy watching it.
With that said; It’s not horrible or unwatchable in anyway. It is very “1980s” and that’s also adds to its charm and I think the soundtrack made by Stan Bush is amazing!
I think I am being fair by giving it a medium score. I don’t want to praise it too hard, and at the same time; I don’t want to say that it is a great movie either. But I like it regardless.

A classic Chuck Norris film, but I will say that it is on the better side of his typical movies.
Unlike a typical bad Chuck Norris movie (like invasion USA or Delta Force), this one takes a more serious approach, and touches on American POWs still being held in Vietnam, sort of like “Rambo: First Blood - Part 2” (1985) does.
But with that said; a lot of the fight choreography feels off and some of the acting could be better. Also I think the movie moves in too slow a paste at times as well, even some of his “stealth” scenes just goes on for way too long (like the scene where he returns to the Hotel), and a lot of the scenes that are not really relevant to the plot / storyline, could easily have been edited out (For instance, all the scenes of Chuck just walking around in Bangkok). And lastly, the entire movie was filmed in the Philippines, and you can easily tell that a lot of the cast was just local people they hired and not actual Vietnamese people.
But overall; I think this is one of Chuck Norris better films, even though it’s nowhere near as good as “Rambo: First Blood - Part 2” (1985). Not even close.

Okay before you start bashing me for giving a classic 007 movie a low score...just hear me out first!
First off; Goldfinger is a great movie, a product of its time, but a great movie.
Sean Connery will always be the real James Bond to me, and he has always been an amazing actor in my opinion. Even in the bad movies he has been in (like LXG) he has always played his part extremely well.
But anyway back to Goldfinger, it is a great movie, but there are some flaws in the movie that do want to address...
*spoiler alerts*
1st: the seduction scene in Goldfingers hotel suit in the start of the movie with the girl spying on the guy Goldfinger is playing cards with; just makes no sense, let’s be honest; no girl in the world would react like that if a total stranger just walked into her hotel suit...that’s just not going to happen.
Then the scene after (which I guess takes place in James Bond’s hotel room); how did Oddjob find them in this massive hotel? ...and how did Goldfinger find out it was him? ..all he knew was just a voice he heard over the radio.
Okay moving on..
The scene where James Bond pretty much cuts up the whole side of the mustang driven by tilly masterson which runs her off the road...her whole concern is about her tires when literally the whole side of her car is cut open like a can opener has opened a can of beans? ..like really? ..really?
Then the iconic scene where James Bond is tied to a gold table and almost getting cut in half or castrated by Goldfingers “industrial laser”...when he mentions “operation grand slam”; why on earth would he let him live? ...if he knows too much the why not kill him on the spot? ...and why wait and blow him up in Fort Knox?
Next: in the scene onboard Goldfingers private jet: when James Bond goes to shave / change clothes....why has Goldfinger installed these peepholes into his own bathroom? ...or is that to look at smurf galore every time she uses the bathroom..or why on earth would he have those in his private jet?
Anyway next: the scene where he presents “operation grand slam” to the “gangsters” (or whoever they are supposed to be); why go through all the trouble and costs of turning pretty much the entire building into a mechanical transforming display of his plan.....when he is going to gas everyone of them right after anyway? ...why even do the presentation in the first place, if you are going to kill them right after? ..like what and why?
Also the way solo was killed really made no sense either...and what a waste of a beautiful Lincoln Continental....why didn’t he just kill solo at the ranch? ..he didn’t even dispose of his body, he just crushed his body and the gold in the car, and brought the crushed car back to the ranch only to have to cut the gold out of the crushed car ...with solos body still in it. Sorry but this didn’t really make sense to me.
Right, moving on: how could smurf galores planes just fly over Fort Knox without tripping any alarms? ..they just flew over it like that is just something people just do all the time.....I get that smurf galore informed the army or agents about operation grand slam after having sexy time with James Bond ..which also seemed unbelievable as in the scene before she was just talking about how she was going to buy an island off the Bahamas with all the money she would make from operation grand slam.
Yeah this just didn’t add up to me.
Also why are all Goldfingers henchmen Chinese or Korean? ..when he is supposed to be either British or Swiss?
Goldfinger is a great movie, I know I have said it before, but it really is, it also has some of the most iconic scenes in all of James Bond’s history. I know the 1960s were a different time and because of that, we have to respect for that. But there were just a lot of scenes that didn’t really make sense to me, and I don’t see them making any sense back then either. So that’s the reason for me giving it a “fair” rating.

I watched this movie with extremely low expectations, mainly because my experience with these kind of movies.
But I must say it was way better than I thought.
Not going to post any spoilers, but it kept me entertained all the way way through.
It’s not the kind of movie I would want to watch several times, but the same goes for a lot of new movies, especially the transformers and avengers movies.
But I’d say; aquaman is worth the watch if you get a chance too. I wouldn’t pay to go see it, but if it’s on TV or you “legally” download it, go ahead and give it a try.

Out of all the “real” James Bond films, I’d say “From Russia with love” is one of my least favorite James Bond films. It is by no means the worst, and it is not even remotely a bad movie.
But the reason I don’t like it, is because I think it moves in too slow a paste, and I think there are too many characters and things going on in the movie.
For instance; the scene where we are first introduced to Kilenco under the Russian council building, then next scene we get the part with the gypsies, where two girls fight and then they are attacked by Kilenco, and then in the next scene they kill Killenco trying escape from his hideout.
This whole part had no relevance to the rest of the plot of the film at all, we never even see any of the gypsies again either.
I also think the whole train part of the movie just goes on for way too long...so much so; that by the time they get off the train I have forgotten what they were even trying to escape from.
But again this is just all my personal opinion.
“From Russia with love” is by no means a bad movie, but it is just too slow in its paste for my liking, however I am going to give it a generous rating, because it is a good movie.

Machete-This one stunk so bad that I can not breathe while thinking about it!
The cast is really far and wide well known actors and I usually like Danny Trejo as long as he isn't trying too hard and I really like Michelle Rodriguez and Jessica Alba running around scantily dressed but even this could not save Machete for me!

Maybe the fact that this is supposed to be about some Comic Character or a "Graphic Novel" that I have no knowledge of would change my ultimate impression of this film but as of now this is just one of the worst I have sat through in a long time.
The Plotline about the Mexicans and keeping them out of the country is prescient for sure and I think was written before the whole Wall thing which was amusing but beleive me you have never seen Dinero like this before and will not want to again either.
The scene with the Old & Fat Trejo fighting his old friend Old & Fat Seagall is beyond description really and that was maybe a highlight of the film but every scene really made me just feel sorry for everyone involved in this Stink bomb in the end.

As far as I can tell it is an all Russian made movie, since I couldn't find a version with English subtitles then I had to watch it without, the spoken languages in the movie are Russian and German, none of which I speak.
Anyway, the movie is actually pretty well made and acted too, the CGI and visuals is extremely well done and doesn't look fake at any point. Also the vehicles and tanks all look genuine too. The action scenes are amazing too.
If you are a fan of WW2 tanks and you can find a version with English subtitles or subtitles in your own language then certainly give it a try.
Missing in Action 2: The Beginning (1985) - 01 / 10
This movie takes place before the first movie, it is trying to show why Colonel Braddock (Played by Chuck Norris) hates Colonel Yin as much as he does. Personally I thing this was both shown and explained well enough in the first movie, which in itself makes this movie kind of redundant, also the first movie had a lot more action and "Chuck Norris being Chuck Norris" in it, this second film has a few action scenes but nothing really special and nothing which the first movie didn't do better.
Overall, I don't see any reason for this movie to even exist. It doesn't explain or give us anything new which we didn't already know from the first movie, and the first movie was an overall better movie in pretty much every way. "Missing in Action 2: The Beginning" is not bad because it is a Chuck Norris film or because its a typical 80s "one man army" movie, it is just bad because it just brings nothing new or even has anything to give us that the first movie didn't do better.
Honestly, just watch the first movie for the entertainment value alone, and just ignore the 2nd movie. Lets just be happy that we have the first film, which is full of the typical good old Chuck Norris takes on a whole army which we all either love or hate....or love because we hate it....which ever...

Chuck Norris plays a police officer in this movie, the movie focuses around the gangs of Chicago and their gang war.
This is one of those “meh” kind of movies, there’s not really anything new about it and there’s not really anything memorable about it either.
It’s not a bad movie, but it’s just nothing we haven’t seen in many other movies like it.

So this movie was really hyped up to me, so I had high expectations for it, but I must say I was greatly disappointed.
Not only is the movie just incredibly boring, but also it’s the same things happening over and over.
First he is with the Indians, then he is with the “white people”, then he is with the Indians again, then he is with the “white people” again..and it just continues like that....and every time nothing really happens.
There’s the odd fight / battle here and there, but they are nothing great.
Apparently it’s a really iconic movie, but I just don’t see what the big fuzz is about.
I will say though that it is one of the only movies I have seen that showed the Indians for their personal and good sides, and didn’t just show them as a bunch of savages. Which was a good thing, don’t get me wrong. But as a movie overall, I just don’t see whatever it is that other people see in it.
Braddock - Missing in Action III (1988) - 01 / 10
My main problem with this film is that not in any of the previous films was it even mentioned that Braddock had a wife in Vietnam, that he thought died during “The fall of Saigon” in 1975.
And also, the two first movies tried to create awareness about American POWs left behind in Vietnam, where as this 3rd movie doesn’t even mention anything about that.
I know I said that I think the 2nd film was pointless and didn’t have any reason to even exist, but this 3rd film is even more pointless.
Honestly, just watch the first film and ignore the rest of the Missing in Action movies.

A classic Chuck Norris movie, full of classic “Chuck Norris takes on a whole army” as we all either love or hate.
Movie is actually surprisingly well directed and coordinated, and action scenes are all live action. No CGI was used.
Worth the watch just for the entertainment value alone.
Delta Force 2: The Columbian Connection (1990) - 08 / 10
Also a classic Chuck Norris film with everything you typically find in a Chuck Norris film that we either love or hate....or love because we hate ...whichever.
I will say that, in this 2nd movie; “the bad guy” played by no other than Billy Draco, is just spot on perfect for an absolute ruthless drug overlord, he plays the role perfectly.
I’d say the movie is worth the watch just for his performance alone. After seeing this movie, I will never be able to look at him the same again

I have seen a lot of bad movies in my life and I am one of those who enjoy watching bad movies, just for the entertainment value, but this movie is just....bad beyond anything I have think I have ever seen...I will say it again, this movie is pretty much unwatchable.

A movie made by the notorious Ed Wood (Edward Davis Wood Jr.), and known as one of the worst movies ever made in cinematic history.
Is it really that bad?
The answer is no! ...apart from the "monster" being a giant rubber squid / octopus thing..that they just wiggle around them to make it look like it is attacking them and a few other things that are not particularly well done or acted, I have to say this is by no means the worst movie I have ever seen, not even close. Even by 1955 standards and considering it was made on a budget of $70,000 (According to IMDb): I am actually surprised that they were able to make a movie that is somewhat decent.

Well no, but it is by no means the worst movie I have ever seen, nor is it unwatchable in any way. It is not even close to being unwatchable. Yes, some of the acting and fight choreography could have been better, Yes, some of the set probs look like they are made out of painted MDF or cardboard....and Yes, the "monster" is a giant rubber squid / Octopus thing that doesn't really do anything other than have the actors wiggle it around them...BUT...for a low budget movie, it is really not that bad at all.
I am not going to give it a high or even medium rating, because it is not a good movie, but it is not even close to being as bad as it is hyped up to be, not even close.

This is one of those movies that came out right when Alien and Star Wars were at their prime. Galaxy of Terror is known as a cheap knock-off of Alien and known for copying elements from Star Wars too.
I want to say, that apart from taking place in space and involving space ships traveling to other planets, I don't see any similarities to Star Wars at all in this movie, absolutely nothing. Regarding Alien; well it is similar but I wouldn't say that is is a direct knock-off like so, especially as apart from a crew investigating a destress call from another planet, the storyline has nothing in common with Alien.
*SPOILER ALERT*
In Alien (1979) a crew on board a commercial freight ship called "The Nostromo" responds to a strange signal they picked of while travelling across the galaxy, the destress call turns out to come from an alien ship carrying some sort of bioweapon (the alien) that needs (in this case) a human host to spawn an an alien and so it takes out the crew one by one, until only the main protagonist is left, she sets the ship to self destruct and escapes in an escape pod / ship thing...but to her own surprise the alien hid itself in the escape pod so she has to give it a final fight, where she ends up ejecting it into space and then goes into hypernation hoping to get picked up by another ship soon ..The End. ...roll credits
In Galaxy of Terror (1981), a spaceship called "Remus" crashed on a planet called "Morganthus". A crew is then send to rescue them on a ship called "Quest", but when trying to land on Morganthus their ship gets damaged (mainly due to what appears to be a careless and incompetent captain played by Erin Moran), so they are unable to leave the planet Morganthus without repairs. They then go to investigate the crashed ship, finds the ship severely damaged and the crew splattered all over the place, then they go on to find out why the ship crashed on the first place, which turns out to be because of some projected electromagnetic field, which is also preventing them from taking off again. They then come to find that this electromagnetic filed is projected by an alien pyramid. This pyramid or the electromagnetic field it projects (not too sure which it is) causes the crews worst fears / nightmares to come to life and kills them off one by one, they decide to make their way into the pyramid where then find the alien, which turns out be some old woman you saw in the intro of the movie calling herself "The oracle".....and then I am not really too sure what happens to be honest.
Anyway! ...my point being; apart from a crew investigating a destress call they got from another planet, the storylines and plot are completely different. I will say that the atmosphere of the movie fells a lot similar to Alien, but bottomline is: it's not a 100% cheap knock-off of Alien.
So is it any good then?
Well a lot of the special effects and probs look dated by modern standards, which is to be expected from a movie made in 1981, the acting is actually okay, and theres that "what will happen next" vibe throughout the movie and the scary scenes are scary too. I actually think it's an okay movie, for what it is. I know I said it before but even though in some ways it is similar to Alien, it is not a direct copy / knockoff of Alien. Otherwise it’s like saying Star Wars is a copy / knockoff of Star Trek.
It's not a great movie by any means, but its not that awful either. If you like old school sci-fi horrors, then give it a try.

I’m not going to post any spoilers for this one or go into any real detail, as this is a movie that’s currently trending and something people might actually watch (unlike the garbage I usually watch).
But it’s a fun movie, with a good sense of humor, I haven’t watched the first movie (wreck it Ralph) BT I quite enjoyed this 2nd movie

A movie literally known as "THE worst movie ever made" and I can see why!
This has to be the biggest pile of doohickey I have ever seen, and quite possibly the biggest cinematic eyesore ever...who in their right mind thought it would be a good idea to make a Horror-Musical in the first place? ...but then just watching this garbage is just painful to sit through.
Everything about this movie is bad, Writing, directing, acting, filming, sound, choreography, editing, visuals, the hilariously bad paper mache masks the "zombies" wear...you name it...EVERYTHING is bad in this movie.
I honestly cant think of one single positive thing to say about this movie....
..I am actually trying desperately to think of one...just one positive thing to say about this movie, but I really can't...

A true James Bond classic, apart from Dr. No, I would say this is Sean Connery's best James Bond Film.
Everything from the beginning at the clinic, to the way he gets closer and closer to Largo's secret operation, it is done is a way that's sort of slow but never boring, which I really like as it adds this constant "what will be next" throughout the whole movie.
Diamonds are forever (1971) - 06 - 10
Another great movie with Sean Connery as James Bond.
But as great as this movie is, I think there's too many mistakes in it.
Mistakes like: when he drives the Mustang on two wheels through the alley, entering it driving it on the right side wheels and exiting it on the left side wheels. then theres the scene where they chase the moon-buggy thing in the desert, theres a part where you see the wheel fall off the moon-buddy and then in the next and following shots it still has all 4 wheels....that's just to mention some.
that's why I am giving it a 06 out of 10 as I think things like this should not have made it to the final cut of the movie. Especially on a big budget film like this.

The only thing I like about this movie is those "Landmaster" vehicles are badass! ...apart from those the rest of the movie is terrible. Effects are bad, acting is bad...and it has nothing memorable about it...it's just a typical story of "survivors" of a nuclear fallout driving around in the desert looking for survivors...nothing interesting to see.

The music in Thunderball is repetitious and drives me nuts by half way thru the movie.
Diamonds are Forever may have its flaws, but "such sweet cheeks". My favorite Bond Girl of all time (Jill St John).

Okay...yes the special effects and CGI look dated in this movie...even by 1995 standards. A lot of them look like they would be from 1985, sort of on pair with the first Terminator film from 1984.
But if you are willing to not think too much about that and just watch the movie for what it is, its actually a pretty good movie, well acted, well directed and it has a pretty solid storyline as well...and apart from the CGI / Special effects the sets and other visuals are actually really well done too.
I feel like if they have had a bigger production budget for the CGI / Special effects this would have changed the cinematic experience drastically.
Peter Wellers (The guy who played the original RoboCop) does a fantastic job at playing the main protagonist too.

Like most movies based on video games, it’s is just never a good result, and this is no exception.
Just a total “meh” movie. Nothing you haven’t seen before in a typical action B movie and nothing memorable about it.
The incredible melting man (1977) - 00 / 10
I know this movie in notoriously bad, but I just can’t get over just how boring it really is, it’s supposed to be scary, but at no time is there anything really scary happening
90% of the time nothing happens in the movie, and 5% is just way too dark shots of “The Incredible melting man” either walking around or just looking at things or people.

I remember watching this movie on VHS as a kid and only thinking of it as another James Bond film, but seeing it today; I most say that I think it deserves a lot more credit and recognition than it has really gotten.
I mean yes; it has its flaws, but the movie is from 1967 and it is a product of its time. The movie also takes place during before the moon landing (1969) and before the oil crisis (1973), before Personal computers (late 70s), before cellular phones (1980s ..don't remember the exact year motorola launched the first cellphone..1984 was it?) ..and so on ..so on...so on...
But even back then the Japanese were highly efficient and highly advanced, and although a lot seems dated today, they just work perfectly for the movie.
Yes today ..seeing GyroJet guns being shown as "State of the art" and "The latest and Greatest" is something we just need to accept the movie for too. Today we know that they were a huge commercial failure, struggled with accuracy and reliability and the GyroJet rockets didn't travel fast enough at close range to be lethal, but back then anything with Space and rockets was seen as super cool and highly advanced.
Also Blofeld played by no other than Donald Presence, has to be the spot on perfect version of Blofeld in all of James Bond History, he not only playes the role perfectly but I mean just look at him in the movie....it's hard to ever imagine him as anyone else after seeing the movie. Sadly as far as I am aware this was the only time he played Blofeld ever in James Bond. But this just leads me to something I can't igonre which I think is a huge mistake from the production team, that is Bonds contact "Mr. Henderson" played by Charles Grey, who then plays Blofeld in "Diamonds are forever" (1971). I think this is just stupid to have the same person play different roles in the same series of movies. I know it's not "You only live twice" fault as it predates "Diamonds are forever"...but still.
Anyway; a fun fact is that the sports car that Aki drives, is actually the only Convertible Toyota 2000GT ever (actually two cars were made) but it was made specifically for "You only live twice", the reason it had to lose its roof was because Sean Connery at 6' 2" was too tall to sit in a normal 2000GT.

But back to the movie, and I will say it again, I really think it deserves more credit than it has gotten, there is just so much effort put into stuff like the Space probs, Blofelds Lair (I mean look it it), the whole chase scenes around Tokyo and the whole look into Japanese culture. It is extremely well done.
I will say though that, the part where Sean Connery gets transformed or "Made Japanese" as they call it in the movie, is not only plain stupid but also just goes on for waaaayyyy too long and it has no importance to the storyline whatsoever......I get that it was to give him the Agent 47 style cover to blend in on the island as a real Japanese person....but it's all for a what feels like 2 min scene, and then thats it...then they are immediately on to try and find Blofelds lair and it is had no importance for the rest of the movie.
Also the whole ninja training part, not at any point did that show any importance or relevance in the movie at all, he still fights exactly the same when he gets to Bolfelds Lair....he never uses a Ninja sword or any of those throwing stars they use. there was literally no point to all this at all.
Sorry for being the one to say it... but its true..
The late 60s was also a time when Ninja and Karate movies was something new and an emerging trend, I get that, and it would have been fine if it had some sort of relevance to the storyline or the rest of the movie....but it doesn't....sorry ...but it doesn't. At least in "Moonraker" (1977) which was right when star wars war is its peak, could justify the painfully cheesy space laser battle with "that's how they took over Drax spacestation." In "You only live twice"; "Making James bond Japanese" with plastic surgery and hair removal, and giving him Ninja training is all maybe 15-20 mins of the movie, all for maybe 5 min of him getting on the island undercover as a newly married couple, he then sleeps there one night, and then they are up early to go out with the fiskermen to investigate the cave where a girl died earlier, and then on to finding Blofelds lair and then it's just all forgotten in the rest of the movie. See what i mean?
And let’s not get started on the fact that they turned James Bond into an Asian by literally glueing on enhanced eye lids, giving him a yellow tan and overly blacking out his hair. But let’s not get further into that.
I think this should either have been cut down drastically or just be left out completely. But thats just my biggest problem with "You only live twice".

This is one of those movies where I don’t understand why they even bothered releasing it at all.
The back story of the movie is: a guy named “Author J Nelson” scammed a bunch of investors into thinking he was making a big budget horror film. The guy then made a few extremely cheap looking scenes (just to make them think that it was actually happening) and then the guy just disappeared with all the investors money.
So the fact that they even bothered releasing it at all is a bit neck scratching to me.
The movies exactly what you could expect, terribly acted, the monster looks like a a guy in a sleeping bag with stuff glued to it, the plot makes no sense, there are dancing scenes that just goes on for waaay too long (possibly just for the movie to be long enough for them to be able to release it) and the sound is off half of the time too.
The sound is off because Arthur J Nelson accidentally knocked the sound equipment in to Lake Tahoe so they had to add all the sound in post production.

This is a South African made space action movie, which I would classify as an extremely cheap knockoff of Starwars or Star Trek.
It is almost painfully cheaply made; all the interiors of the space ship apart from the control room are little literally filmed in a factory....where you can see daylight coming through the factory windows in the background!!!!
And some of the control panels are just PC monitors and keyboards glued to what looks like an MDF plate
Also the movie tries waaaayyy too hard to sexualize all the female cast by having them walk around in swim suits as their uniforms....and even have a disco scene with extreme butt closeups of the captains daughter dancing...
....I guess this was the only way they could prevent people from walking out of the theater....
...and that was maybe the only scene I actually enjoyed in the entire movie. Yeah I’m a guy, don’t blame me!
And usually I wouldn’t be the one to complain about hot females in swimsuits, but it’s just so overly done in this movie that it just makes things awkward.

There really isn’t much more to say about.
The movie is from 1961, but looks like something that was made in the 1940s, maybe 1950s.
The aliens are clumsy & slow moving and are wearing what looks like a nosecone-shaped 1950s kitchenware/appliance on their head.
Their space ship looks like an oil / fuel filter they glued wings on to.
And then there’s some superhero who flys around in a jet car who makes random appearances too
And all this takes place while we are forced to watch a group of dumb and annoying kids in micro shorts run around and just walk right in to top secret military bases and laboratories like one would walk into a post office.
Yeah that’s really all there is to say about this cinematic pile of garbage.

Aka. “Invaders from space”, aka “The Star Prince”, aka “Planet prince”, aka “Invaders from the spaceship”.....
...yeah seriously, it had that many alternative titles.
Original Japanese title is “Yûseí ôji”
This is the kind of movie that makes me question my own sanity and what I am doing with my life.
It’s another space age B-Movie from Japan, the storyline / plot is something about aliens from a planet called “KrankKor” (which they keep pronouncing like “crank whore”) that wants to invade earth (for some reason) and then “The prince of space” randomly shows up to fight off the aliens.
And then there’s some sub plot about a scientist that has developed a new type of rocket fuel, and then the aliens kidnap him
And blah blah blah...
...to be honest I didn’t even finish watching the movie....I turned it off around an hour into the movie because I began considering taking my own life, just to put myself out of my own misery.
Everything about this movie is just bad, acting movie sets look cheap and space ships are literally toys hanging from a thin wire in front of a picture of stars (or dots more like).
....oh god what am I doing with my life *deep thoughts*
....the aliens are just people in halloween costumes with a long and obvious fake rubber nose
“The prince of space” is just a guy in another Halloween costume
And as usual in a Japanese B movie we are forced to have to watch a bunch of dumb and annoying kids throughout the movie

3 times in my life have I tried to watch this movie and I just can’t finish watching it.
I find it extremely painful to sit through.
I can watch all this other cinematic garbage but Top Gun I just can’t get myself to finish watching

My dad wanted to watch this movie, so I figured why not, I have never heard of it before, but since Roger Moore was in it I figured it must have something to it.
And to my own surprise its actually a really good movie, the version I watched was recorded from Tv on to VHS and then from there digitalised, so it wasn't the best quality version of it a watched and the sound was out of sync too, but even with that I did enjoy the movie all the way through.
Its not a very overcomplicated movie and its not relying on crazy visuals or CGI, which I actually really like, because instead of trying waaayyy too hard to impress the audience with crazy visuals or over the top action, it takes a more serious approach, which is not only more realistic but also makes you take the movie more serious.
I think a lot of movies now a days should take note of this, because it makes the movie a lot more enjoyable and it doesn't feel "fake" at any point either.
Usually I can find several things to nitpick on or flaws to point out...(1) because I am an a**hole...(2) because I find the movie I am watching to be so far from reality that I not only think they should have spotted it themselves but also that I find it hard to take the movie seriously. However this was not the case with this movie.

I have always been a fan of Clint Eastwood movies, both young and old.....There is just that old school badass about him. Especially his old movies like Dirty Harry and Kelly's Heros where he is a total badass.....but even in his old days, I think his performance in Grand Torino was straight up gold, playing this badass old man.
He doesn't play a badass type in The Mule, but he still puts on that "no F**ks given, but remains likerable the whole movie" performance that that I like about him.
But on top of that I must say I really enjoyed the movie all the way through, there is no boring parts or scenes that drags on for too long, the movie has a really good flow to it, which I really like.
Bradley Cooper is also in the movie playing a DEA agent, and as always puts on a good performance. And of all people Laurence Fishburne is also in it. So alot of good names to the movie too.

Okay, so this is a straight to TV Japanese made movie, which is a sequel to another straight to TV made movie called “Fugitive Alien” which is based on a Japanese TV show called “Fugitive Alien”
So this in itself is already a bad recipe!
Just watching this movie for about an hour; all that has happened in the story is a ship (with misspelled control gauges e.g. “Temperature” is spelled “TENPERATURE”) has flown too close to something called “the meter star” which is pulling them towards it and the “TENPERATURE” keeps rising in the ship.....so the audience is forced to watch a bunch of Asian men in plastic suits get sweatier and sweatier...
Yup, an hour into the movie, and that is all that has happened.
I turned it off after an hour, so I have no idea what it ends with, but my god; not only is it bad and terribly acted but YYYYAAARRRRNNNN it’s boring!!!!
Oh yeah and all the space ship probs looks like something from Thunderbirds (which is from the 1960s).....actually the ones in thunderbirds looks better.
Whatever the lowest score / rating is possible to give a movie, this movie deserves it!!! ...if not even lower

This is another of those "Straight for TV" movies based on a cheesy Japanese TV show...
I made it about 37 min into this movie before turning it off......and the last 10 min being me just skipping through it, just to see if something remotely interesting would actually happen....it didn't.
I can't really tell you what the movie is about as nothing is really explained in the movie, so I actually had to look it up on IMDb what the movie was even about..and it seems like IMDb is just as confused as I am....this is what it actually says on IMDb:

I think I am being generous giving this a 3 out of 10.
I really don't understand why this movie was made, George Lazenby gives what is quite possibly the worst James Bond performance I think ever..his acting is incredibly stiff, he doesn't come across as someone competent or like a man women would find charming, more like he has a look on his face the whole time as he has no idea about whats going on and his line deliveries sounds like he is just reading them out loud directly from the manuscript.
But on top of that, the whole way the movie is made, doesn't feel like a James Bond either. The whole way the story is told about James Bond befriending a Mob boss and dating his daughter, and at the same time trying to find and go after spectre, doesn't feel like you are watching a James bond movie at all.
Also I don't think Telly Savalas does a good job at playing Blofeld either, however I think he does a more convincing job at playing Blofeld than George Lazenby does at playing James Bond.
But the whole movie feels completely out of place following "You only live twice" (1967) and followed by "Diamonds are forever" (1971) both of where Sean Connery plays James Bond. Also in "You only live twice" Blofeld is played by Donald Pleasence, and it ends with Blofeld escaping, and then in the following movie "On Her Majesty's Secret Service" Blofeld is played by someone else (Telly Savalas) who plays the role completely different.....and then in "Diamonds are forever" Blofeld is played by Charles Grey...whom also plays him completely differently.
Let me explain:
- Donald Pleasence as Blofeld: Stone cold, and completely ruthless.
- Telly Savalas as Blofeld: Has a lot more personality, and seems more like a gangster boss than a stone cold Super Vilan
- Charles Grey as Blofeld: Comes across well educated and posh, yet evil at the same time.
It's just one big cluster "fudge".
But again, I just don't understand why "On Her Majesty's Secret Service" was made, it just feels completely out of place in the whole series of James Bond movies.
I am giving it a 3 because if you ignore everything stated above and just watch it as "a movie", it is watchable and although George Lazenby is a terrible actor, the rest of the cast does a good job with what they had to work with.

I have never heard about this movie before, and I don't think anyone else have either....and for good reasons....it is a watered down version of James Bond made entirely for Italian TV.
Okay so the storyline goes something like....An evil organisation (which if this was a real James Bond would be called SPECTRE, but since this is discount spaghetti James Bond its called "Thanatos") wants to take over the world (yeah that old cliche) and they are planing on doing so by using what is basically am EMP device but they call "magnetic wave generator" and cause all machines to shut down permanently. But for some reason James Bond is not available...so what do they do instead of just finding another actual agent....they of course go to James Bonds little brother who is a civilian and works as a hypnotist...and apparently he is also a surgeon and a lip reader....which is conveniently exactly the skills they are looking for to take down SPECTRE...excuse me Thanatos.
There are a lot of familiar 1960s James bond cast in the movie too...but for some reason EVERYONE has been renamed..
- James Bonds brother is called Neil Connery....and apparently that is his real name too...
- Bond girl....or in this case "Neil girl" is played by Daniela Bianchi whom also played bond girl in "From Russia with love"

The shining is one of those movies that deserves all the credit it can get. This is one of those movies that will remain a cinematic masterpiece for as long as movies exist.
Everything about this movie is so well done that you really forget that you are watching a movie from 1980.
Movie sets are amazingly done, especially considering all the interior of the hotel were movie sets constructed at EMI Elstree studios in the UK...at no point does it look or feel like it’s a movie set, every interior shot / scene feels like it is inside a real hotel.
Acting is spot on perfect in this movie too...Jack Nicholson is just priceless in this movie and Shelley Duvall gives an outstanding performance too, and I must say Danny Lloyd is impressive too, especially considering he was only 5 - 6 years old during the filming of the movie.
What’s also impressive is that all blood, Gore, crazy zombie lady in room 237, and other scary scenes are all done using practical effects, and none of the look fake either, they are extremely well done.
Not just for a movie from 1980, but even by today’s standards.
The whole isolated atmosphere in the movie is extremely well done too, the sort of “you are being watched”, and “something is lurking in the shadows or around the corner” feeling remains constant throughout the movie too.
This movie really deserves to get top marks

She is a nasty British Secret Agent sent to Berlin as the Wall is coming down with a Mission to exfiltrate an East German who has memorized a list of the good guys agents and needs to be removed from the reach of the East.
She is Hot as usual and Half Naked or more in a few scenes and makes out with another Hot Agent and then goes around kicking everyones ass who gets in her way over and over!
She is one Bad Ass Agent!
The Soundtrack is also great if you remember this time in History especially and all of the music that it spawned!

I have never heard about this movie before someone at a recent meeting mentioned it, and it wasn’t easy to find either....I had to go as far as to “legally” pull it off the dark web.
Anyway; I don’t know what I expected of it, but it far exceeded my expectations!
At no point was it boring or had any scenes that dragged on for too long.
And it’s also the kind of movie that doesn’t rely on CGI to keep the audience entertained, as a matter of fact there’s no CGI in it at all.
A really well done movie that moves at a sort of slow but still entertaining paste.
Again; I had never heard of the movie before, but it really deserves to get some credit.
Seriously give it try, I would highly recommend it

Zombies! It's a beginning of a zombie outbreak and all sorts of survival situations are going down. The best and worst in people comes out.
I was surprised as it was a good season 1. The zombies are super nimble like 28 days later rage zombies.

If you like funny westerns like My Name is Nobody or My Name is Trinity you will like this. It's a Coen brother's movie so it has the feel of O Brother, Where Art Thou and humor.
I plan on watching it again, since it seems to have a deeper meaning I missed when I watched barely awake. It's on Netflix if you want to check it out.

Saw Avengers Endgame on the first day of showing at home, personally I felt it might be a little long but I guess it is unavoidable due to the contents they want to cover. After 20+ MCU movies, I think it is a pretty decent end-of-chapter kinda movie and am eager to see where we go from here. I'm with MP here--but I gave it a 8/10, not only on how good it was, but am amazed how they lay down all the leads up to this point and were able to cash it in on this one go.

Ok, “venom” I must say was a pretty cool movie, had a couple funny parts to it too, if you watch it you gotta keep playing after the first credits cause someone plays a very little part, just like that someone else who’s known for Marvel comics! A good 8/10!I enjoyed Venom as well. It was decent and co created by Todd McFarlane I think, same guy who made Spawn. I was big into comics growing up.

Not a bad movie, kept me entertained and wondering WTF will happen next the whole time.
It’s sort of / kind of a modern take on the Blair witch project, definitely has a lot of similarities.
My only problem with it; is there’s nothing really memorable about it. It’s one of those “watch and forget” kind of movies.
(Then again so are most new movies IMO, just take The Avengers or X-men movies for instance)
None of the characters really gets developed enough for me to care about them when they die, and the “monster” is kind of blah too.
But again; it was entertaining enough, so won’t give it a too low a score either.

To me it just leaves too many plot holes and me wondering what I even just watched.
With that said though; it’s good to see Sandra Bullock still at it and putting on a great performance.

I am one of those people who can watch horror movies and sleep like a baby at night.
I also had really low expectations for this movie for some reason.
But I must say; there were some genuinely scary scenes in this movie.
Its clearly a low budget film, but for what it is and what they had to work with, I will give it a generous rating.
It’s by no means as good and scary as sinister or conjuring, or any of those movies. But those movies are also on a completely different budget.

All I will say is; Uma Thurman must really be desperate for money since she has agreed to be in this movie.
Honestly just don’t bother watching this movie, it’s not scary, it’s not well made, it’s not well acted, plot makes no sense and is full of plot-holes. And lastly it’s just really boring!

The Bravery of all the men (and women) who flew (and still do) in the space programme is really brought home in this film. With all the science and planning involved in each mission you still needed men made of the right stuff to fly the rockets.
A must watch movie.

No reason to watch this. Just watch the first one. Everything that made the first great is missing from this.
This is boring, predictable, and very slow paced only to go nowhere.
The zombies are terrible and not convincing. Did they not have a zombie supervisor? The zombies in the first one were great.
The hero is a clumsy idiot. From the very start he gets into situations he could have not survived, but thankfully the extras slow down and even stop to allow him to escape.
The side characters range from annoying to uninteresting, do nothing for the entire movie, do not behave and react like normal people would in those situations, and are portrayed terribly.
No chemistry between the cast.
Absolutely terrible. It is amazing to see how off everything is considering this was made by the same people who made the first one.

Example - In a scene where they are sweeping the compound for bad guys, Jeff Goldblum sees a watermelon in an industrial press and asks one of Buckaroo's team, "What's with the watermelon?" His response? "I'll explain it to you later." Haha...welcome to the Banzai universe!

Great horror film, which is refreshing to see nowadays.
The characters are well presented, well-acted, and interesting. The atmosphere is eerie, slowly building up throughout the film. The music is also well chosen, and used to great effect, without overdoing it. The plot is simple and it works. The locations are excellent, a nice balance between beautiful and creepy.
I loved just about everything about it. It is creepy, scary, well-paced, and well executed.

Somehow the kid got interested in his song “ring of Fire” and some of his history so mom ordered a pizza and put the movie on, it pretty much tells the history of his life, wife loves it, me, it’s not my type of movies but still good, she would give it a solid 10/10 me 6/10 since it’s not my type, but still good! I actually think the kid liked it but he didn’t say anything,,

Not at all what I expected, to the extent that I'll need to watch it again.
The development of the character was so gradual, so believable, I almost spoiled it for myself waiting for it to go off......like waiting for his origin to be revealed as a bite from a clown from outer space.
Instead I realized in the end I'd just watched an excellent movie :salute:

Going back the last couple months...
The Addams Family - 7/10. Good, kid friendly flick. I still like the Angelica Huston/Cristina Ricci version better. This was more of a reimagining of the Saturday morning cartoon from back in the day.
Joker - 10/10. Just a great movie. Has almost nothing to do with the Batman universe. Almost. It'll be interesting to see how they tie it together, if they choose to, when they make a sequel.
It Chapter 2 - 6/10. I didn't like it. It was really corny, almost as much as the old miniseries. I hated how the adults were such emotional weaklings, but I understand that they reverted back to their childhood with the reemergence of Pennywise. Definitely didn't live up to part 1, IMHO.

I recently watched a video on youtube explaining the chess match of the battle of Midway and it found it fascinating.
With this basic knowledge I was looking forward to the movie, and it was very entertaining, great action etc etc etc.
My only criticism is although it is there, they do not show the "chess match" aspect as well. Maybe understandable because this is not a narrated animation with an overhead view of the battle.

Two guys go to Mexico to find their friend who has been carjacked and left stranded, but it is really about stupid people being stupid and doing stupid things. I might have found it more amusing if I was 13 instead of 53. What a godawful mess of a picture. This movie from 2014 is exactly one hour and thirty five minutes of my life I'll never get back. :facepalm:

I had started watching a movie the other day called 303 Squadron which is awful so far. It changes scenes too quickly and they are jumping all over the place chronologically. The aerial scenes are so blatantly CGI.
It's about Polish pilots fighting with the RAF during World War 2 if anyone is interested. I stopped about a quarter of the way through and I don't think I can continue.

This takes place back in the day, the Phoenix is Jane, and as any x-man fans know both professor x and magneto picked her up from her family’s house in I don’t remember which movie, it’s when she does something and Stan Lee is outside doing yard work, yet in this movie only professor x picks her up as a kid(I won’t say how) yet another thing is raven is on the x-men’s side since their all young but something happens and I don’t want to give to much away, but there’s no way she can turn to Mystique? So if you don’t follow any of the other movies it’s pretty good, but if you do then things are just out of wack..

I seen a lot of good 'reviews' on this film, so I did come in with a high expectation. At first glance, I thought it was another cool B-rated Movie, like Machete. Turns out it was a total 'art' film, and 40+ min in, it was just a few people walking around, dreaming and murmuring to each other. It was eerie with all the heavy filtered light in red and empty forest shots, but definitely opposite to what I expect of it. 3/10 because the way they film it, and I could see how film students would have appreciate how it was filmed.

Great tension, and the effects were fantastic throughout. Solid performances by all. A few characters were a little bland, and the story may be predictable if you watch similar films.
There are a few plot holes and errors that I saw, and I am not a scientist.
Still, very enjoyable.

Now this is a great chase movie. Fantastic main character, scenery, and the plot was nice and simple. I loved it and will watch it again soon. I am assuming it served as inspiration to other chase movies like Apocalypto, The Mountain Men, etc.

I watch this quite often, because it is simply a gem. The effects are practical, old school, no CGI smurf. Tight plot, great characters and performances, tension, pacing. This is a fantastic movie, and it kills me that it did not get the release and recognition it deserved.
Definitely recommended if you've not seen it already. Or even if you've seen it. :cheers:

Wow. This is what a Bigfoot movie looks like when it has an actual budget. The creature looks scary. Performances are good, I especially liked the female lead. Premise is simple, typical you could say, for this sort of film. But the execution was nice. The tension builds up slowly, but it pays off. I liked the direction they went with lore-wise. It makes it stand out among the rest of bigfoot movies I've watched.
Note: Do not watch with kids. This is not like the average bigfoot movie. It is pretty disturbing at times.

What a boring creature feature. Nothing happens. The protagonist gets into peril because of sheer stupidity.

After an alien invasion, he wants to travel by ferry. The night before, he goes partying as if everything is normal. After a night of tequila shots, he goes back to his hotel, and in the morning realizes his passport was stolen so he is forced to go by car through the alien infected zone. Really? I don't do that even on holiday because I do not want to miss the morning ferry/train/bus/plane. And he did it in a post-apocalyptic world? Just going out for the night, like a total smurfing idiot, knowing that the next morning the last ferry was leaving? And that the only other option was going through the infected zone?
I have no trouble accepting 30m high squids. But going on a bender the night before the most important ferry of your life? No, that took me right out of the movie. And it takes half the runtime until they go to the infected zone.
And it does not stop there. Or rather, it does. Nothing happens the entire movie. His convoy gets attacked once early on, which is the only action scene of the movie and lasts maybe two minutes, and we see some tentacles. Cars are ruined, mercenaries are dead, our moron and the rich girl go off by foot. Nothing happens. They see some alien eggs, they find a pyramid/ziggurat. Then, two minutes before the movie ends, they reach a gas station with a squid which does nothing.

Very underwhelming Eastwood western. Eastwood and John Saxon were not used to their full potential. I am surprised and honestly a little disappointed that Eastwood did not take over from the director as he usually does, because he would have delivered a much better film. Eastwood has done far better westerns, watch those before this one.

Despite being a big Hollywood movie it wasn't too bad. The battle scenes were good although a little overdone/unrealistic in places. Thankfully not as cringeworthy as Pearl Harbour. It showed perspectives of both sides a little which was good.
Keeping track of who was who on Wikipedia helped although I was a bit more confused with regard to the Japanese command.

Just finished watching the first season, for the first time. I had not seen any episode, or even a single scene before.
The characters are interesting, the main ones any way. I like the personal issues they go through.
The pacing is nice. It did not have a big start, but everything built up beautifully.
The performances are top notch and I was glad to see the child actors delivering as well.
I recommend this, the first season anyway. Watching the second season now. :D

I do not care for the Soprano kids story-lines. So boring. AJ is so uninteresting and he is so dumb it is frustrating. I guess the University episode was a call-back to College, but College was a far better episode.
The Dr Melfi thing was a little much. Bold move.
Pine Barrens was great. Chris even tried a bowdrill. I would not mind seeing Les Stroud taking a look at that one.

Buscemi joined the cast. Nice. Adriana's story still good. Tony and Carm, still boring.

Up to Episode 5. Nothing of note has happened. Quite a boring start for this season. I hope things pick up.

Didn’t need any of the character development as the were all a bit dim and I just wanted zombie action of which there was plenty. Could have been an hour shorter with just action and would’ve been better for it
I will admit that I’ve long maintained I have terrible taste in movies, if there’s no guns or car chases I’m not interested do

This feels clunky. I do not like the signing at the end of most scenes. The protagonist talks way to much, and his lines are trying too hard to make it seem like he is a tough guy. The flashbacks with the current day protagonist present are awkward and far too many. The old west vernacular seems too forced and weirdly out of place, despite this being a western.
Not too bad I guess, but there are way better westerns out there.

This was a wonderful western. I loved Cresta, Candice Bergen's character. The interactions of the two leads were enjoyable. Great pacing, atmosphere, some survival skills. Quite the adventure.
The ending is rather brutal, so this is not for everyone.

Kind of generic. A bit clunky at times. Not really scary, too many jump scares. Nice cinematography of the forest, a bit spooky. If you liked Natalie Dormer from Game of Thrones, you might like this, but as a horror movie, it is not the best.

RP I'm a big fan of westerns myself and have seen all of the movies you mentioned. I agree that Silverado is underrated. I just saw "The White Buffalo" with Charles Bronson again and it is a 10/10.

This is one of the best films I have ever seen. Saoirse Ronan and Gemma Arterton are brilliant in this, their performances are magnificent and their chemistry is excellent. The plot, the characters, the dialogue, everything is flawless. Imdb's 6.5 is way too low for this. I do not want to spoil this, so I will not say more, but if you only watch one film of the many I have posted here, watch Byzantium.

What a waste of time. Even though this is based on the same book as the film Dagon, this has more similarities to Manos: The Hands of Fate. Absolutely terrible directing and acting, laughable special effects, and not a hint of subtlety. It takes itself so seriously, yet everything in it is ridiculous. Not entertaining in the slightest. There are many low budget horror movies worth watching. This is a dumpster fire. Not recommended.

I blame the dark knight trilogy for this, ever since Hollywood thinks that a film needs to be dark to be good. Me I wished they had a bit more flamboyant costumes, something that feels a bit more "alien".
What really was missing was the lore though, why there are no computers, what are Mentats, Bene Gesserit etc...
I think the Fremen where a bit short-cut and too much relegated to the background, on the other hand, they wasted time on irrelevant stuff like the Sardaukar.
The end was quite rushed

There were no computers because of the Butlerian Jihad, they were replaced with Muntants and the Guild Navigators, but yeah, you hit the nail on the head

The one funny thing was when we left and we were on our way out, two of his coworkers were waiting at the exit, and he said hi and there like well since your here why don’t you give us a hand at doing what you do best, then mom jumps in and was like yeah this way your dad and I can see you at your job, :D and of course mom had to snap a few pics,, but they were nice and took a pic of us as we headed out in front of the movies display,,

Um we’re watching Violent Night, so the kids like “I thought we were suppose to watch that together over a dinner”? Moms face drops like, oh crap! Needless to say we were half way through and told him I’m sure we’ll have no problem watching it again! Oh it was good! I’ll have to add this to the must watch Xmas movies! A big part of the movie is alternating scenes of past and present. Not only did that add nothing, it was also painful to follow. For the first half hour or so, you will not know enough to distinguish whether a scene is past or present. The story is simple enough, there was no reason to jumble the two storylines. Also not for everyone, a few disturbing scenes. It would have been an average horror film but the editing killed it.

Unwatchable. Five guys in the woods camping, get attacked and chased by a shooter. All five of them idiots, one stumbling every two minutes, and arguing like emo school girls. "Is he ok? omg" "No, he got shot in the head." Yes, that's the level of intelligence we're dealing with in this. It would have been much better and more believable if they had cast five teenagers.
You might have Netflix and stumble on this . Do not waste your time.

At this point the C-Movie Parodies have the better and more convincing story (and better acting than Vin Diesel). Guess that happens if you have to spend all the money on the cast, nothing is left for the script.
We expect a totally over the top, nonsensical story, so having a submarine (or should that be subterraine) emerge from the grounds of Antarctica is completely on par for the course. But at least they got the action right... right? No, they didn't. CGI and sound are really poor and you get no sense of speed or danger. E.g. it is very obvious during the car race in Brazil (the bread and butter of the franchise*), when Mamoa puts his head out of the window during the race, there is no wind that ruffles his hair, so it feels totally static.
* I'm not an expert on the Brazilian scene, but I'm fairly sure that is way off the mark with the cars (and the fuel).

The wife and I saw Godzilla Minus One at Imax today . Great movie! 9/10.
This one stands apart from the current Godzilla movies that have been rolling out the last few years . ( Those are good too ).
I recommend seeing this one on the big screen as you can feel Godzilla tearing it up in the theater.

Ehh... it was alright. It had it's occasional funny moment and the action was predictable. I'm not a huge Transformers movie fan though.

Guy/girl goes somewhere for Christmas.
Meets girl/guy and falls in love. Then at the hour and 40-45 minute mark something happens to throw the romance a curve. Then right at the end it gets resolved.
Well, this year, with so many to choose from I DVR'd some to look at between Christmas and New Year's.
Much to my surprise they had one that strayed from the pattern.
Mystery at Mistletoe Manor. I found it to be fairly enjoyable for a change and would definitely give it an 8+.

As a sort of prequel it's fun and entertaining. I'm not a musical guy, but the tunes and dance numbers were well done. LOTS of Easter eggs for the 1971 version, which I really enjoyed. Gets points knocked off for some of the acting and story gaps, but definitely worth seeing :cheers:

Based on the true story of the investigation of a Soviet serial killer. It won an Emmy and a Golden Globe, and rightly so. The time just flew away. Great performances, excellent writing. This is a TV movie, so the budget is not astronomical, but the film does punch above its weight. This does the "Russians speaking English instead of Russian" thing, which I am not a big fan of, but I got used to it quickly and it did not bother me.
Highly recommended.

We saw Dune Part 2 this weekend. Not bad, if you don't know the book. The visuals were great and the acting was good (except for Christopher Walken; it felt like he was phoning his role in). Looks like there's going to be a Part 3, which is fine. I keep telling myself that no movie made from a book will satisfy everyone because everyone has their own mind pictures of what it should be :PI read the book like back in 91, I don’t remember anything..

We have a little thing going, m-f are tv show days, right now it’s “cold case”. But weekends are movie days, only thing is it will take us a good 45min to even agree on just one! The problem is she’s a horror/very little comedy, as to me where I’m a action/comedy, so it’s an adventure just agreeing on one, although this weekend should be my choice since tomorrows my bday :whistle: but I doubt it,,

It's the cheesy 80s cartoon stuff that many of us grew up watching, but I'm watching the series with my 5-year-old daughter who can now be heard loudly proclaiming, "FOR THE HONOUR OF GRAYSKULL" when she's playing in her room, so it's an absolute 10/10 for me!!

I think I have seen 12-15 of those Marvel flicks. What, no X-Men? Maybe you have seen all of those already. Best wishes. GOh heck I own every x-men, yeah they are a marvel, but everyone in that list are all connected, each one of the characters somehow shows up in some other one of those movie, like iron man, hulk, and others all show up in the avengers, I’m just watching them in a diff order, not by when each hit the big screen, but by the time the movie took place, like the first one takes place in the 40’s and then the second takes place in the 90’s, so it’s just going to keep climbing the timeline,
