Title: June Donation Draw- A Pioneering Farmer and other Screwiness
Post by: Grant Lamontagne on June 05, 2018, 07:07:14 PM: You are going to need your Thinking Caps on for this one- it gets a bit confusing, but that's no surprise, since it comes from a particular member who hails from a place known for wooden shoes, wind energy (before it was cool) and certain mood altering plant use.

At first it looks like just an ordinary Pioneer, but it's not just any ordinary Pioneer, it's an extraordinary Farmer! One that has had the saw layer removed. Which would make it a Pioneer, although the box says Farmer on it, and you will get the box too, as proof that you aren't going out of your mind!

But wait, there's more! Look closely at the photos!

Look closelier!

Yup, those are Torx screws holding this magnificent doodad together!

That means that this Pioneer/Farmer Hybrid is adjustable for tension, and field strippable if necessary. And, it is so awesome that I am going to totally pass over the obvious joke about Farmers stripping in the fields!

As far as I know, this is the first and only adjustable, user serviceable Farmer without a saw mod ever done, and it could be yours for as little as ten measly dollars! Heck, the confusion it causes is well worth that alone!

As usual, if we hit our monthly goal of $275 we will give this beauty away to one lucky member, and to be eligible all you need to do is donate a minimum of $10 to the Forum Operational Fund. You can do so using the Donations tab at the top of the page, the big orange Make a Donation button on the right (it looks like this: (https://forum.multitool.org/Themes/default/images/x-click-but21.gif) (https://forum.multitool.org/index.php?action=treasury)) or simply by following this link:

They all go to the same place- destination, Forum Operations Fund!

If we hit the goal by midnight on the 15th (Forum Offset Time of course!) then we will double the draw with another super cool prize that I have standing by just in case!

Usually at this point I ask if anyone has any questions, but I am guessing that there are a lot of questions this time that I may not be able to answer! :P

Post by: Dutch_Tooler on June 30, 2018, 06:32:21 PM: One of the problems may be that the Paypal link on the donation page now leads to the basic Paypal login page, not to a dedicated payment with pre-filled amount, beneficiary etc. so quite a bit of investigation is needed before one can actually effect a payment. This is the status as of today with me. I'm not sure who else is affected and since when this is the case.

It cost that much or more for a cup of coffee at a coffee shop for crying out loud. We've got it pretty good here, some forums only give privileges like an avatar pic. private messaging etc. unless you become a paying member. As a bonus here you even get a chance to win a cool tool every month for a donation.

Come on peeps give a little for the cause :pok:

Ridiculous is normal for this place, but no embarrassment in not making the goal- my pictures really don't do it justice. Whichever Dutch tool guy made it should be proud to have made something so cool, and we are very proud to make it available to members! :D

My failure to capture it's awesomeness in pictures and description shouldn't diminish it in any way. :tu:
