Title: Antique & Vintage Flash Lights Torches
Post by: gerleatherberman on January 06, 2019, 09:26:50 AM
Another one of the interest peaking mini-hobbies that I'm curious to see if anyone else here is into. I really enjoy buying them and restoring/reworking them to function as they should. Most of these have LED bulbs installed as well.  :)

Most are D-cell lights. But, there are a couple of 2xAA pen lights and couple of dynamo lights.

The most recent light to get fixed up. A 1909(or close to) vest pocket light from Eveready. Nobody makes a battery for it anymore, so I made up a temporary makeshift cell pack and will make a more permanent pack later. Works great though. I did accidentally break the reflector dome bulb it came with, but regular E10 bulbs fit, although not great. Hopefully an original bulb will pop up at some point.

This is my oldest I think, a re-post from 2017 Your latest flashlight thread

You Guys are getting some lovely little bright lights and taking some really great pictures  :tu: :tu:

so I'm going to post my newest light  :D

The torch is a Bright Star saftey torch type 2317, made in the USA   :o

I've been playing  :D I adjusted it a little to fit a maglight drop in LED with some eneloops,
not as bright as a Maglight but its useable  :tu:

Thank you,  Poncho!
It may turn up at some point. Old flashlights have a tendency to hide around the house when not in use. :ahhh

That is a great Bright Star. I was shocked at how well the No.1917 Coast Guard Approved was built. And it seems Bright Star made most of their lights well. :)

Ask your Wife/Girlfriend/Hookup if they want to use(in that way) an antique brass flashlight, with the chrome plating coming off & sharp ridges, and let me know how it goes.

Hi gerleatherberman
Are you still online. I’d like to ask you a question about your collection.

Old mate hasn't been active here for quite some time. Poncho might know if he has been spotted on FB recently...
