Poll is now up. Please vote. Or criticize the poll. :D
I voted OD with black but I agree it would look better with the metal/black of the patch.
Yesssss! OD MT.o only cap!
I know I'd buy 2 at least. One to wear and one to hang on the wall. :multi:

Olive drab with black stitching (or dark cypress green w/brown thread), MTO SAKnight discrete silver embroidery, on a Tilley style hat. :salute:

The pricing I mentioned above is in relation to this cap, although with a silver Multitool.org logo embroidered on it instead of Jordan Casual, which I assume is the brand name. Hopefully the white accents look as good to the rest of you as it does to me. Of course I can look at other styles, but this seems to be in most people's wheelhouse. Its not flat if you curve it! ;) by the way, hey Grant!
And no, I won't be getting any flat billed caps. I really can't stand those....
Def
While the white contrasts nicely with the green, I'm not a fan of a light color on the underside of the bill.:iagree:
I'm pretty fussy about that.
Light colors reflect light, whereas dark colors soak it up. All my fishing hats have either a black or dark green lining to the bill, for just that reason. Since I'd like to use the hat for hiking, fishing, and looking cool, I would really urge us to pick a hat with a dark, glare-minimizing, underside to the brim. And, yeah, curved brims please.

What can I say, I like wearing caps ... :dunno:
I've got like 6 Kimi Räikkönen Ferrari caps from back in 2007/2008 (and a couple from his time with McLaren, Lotus and even a Sauber Red Bull one from the very early days of his F1 career). Some even with the tags still on them.
I've got caps from other riders as well, David Coulthard, Damon Hill, Jacques Villeneuve (one signed by JV himself), Mark Webber ... anyway, enough about that.
I like wearing a cap, and I buy more than 1 (or 2, or 3, or ...) because I have different uses for them. The Kimi Ferrari cap Iwhorewore when I went to the Belgian GP F1 for several years has suffered a lot, sweat, dust and rain ... lots of rain. And it's now pink instead of Rossi Scuderia ::).
So here's why I need about 5 MTO caps, 1 for outdoor use (hiking etc... So, sweat, rain, dirt), 1 to wear to and from work (I work in a hospital and I won't even sit in the couch at home before I had a shower, so 1 MTO cap exclusively for work), 1 for every day use (which isn't the same as outdoor use, this one is for normal "urban" use and family stuff). I'll add one to my multitool collection so ... I only have 1 backup...
So, this was today's "inside the head of a madman", join us next week for episode 2.

With my order of 4 caps I also have quite a bit of money invested in this.
And since the time I've placed my order here I've already bought 3 caps at local stores, because my current EDC caps needed replacement ... I had hoped to be wearing my MTO cap by now, since summer is here (at least that's what they say, judging by the weather I would say it's autumn ...) and I would love to promote this place over here. I've started wearing my MTO wristband around my neck so more people would notice it, but so far the only person who mentioned it was the paramedic who took it of after I fainted due to a lack of oxygen ...
I'm sure Grant is doing all he can to get us some good quality caps, but it does look like the company from which he ordered them is in no hurry to deliver them, sadly enough ...
@Happy Gilmore: What ? No life raft or camping stove in that hat ? I can only say that I'm a bit disappointed ... :td:

Two Mammut "Lhasa" caps with foldable brim (don't know how much actual Mammut is used in these, for some reason I feel it's mostly just sales talk ...Show content(https://media.giphy.com/media/iSuffsM2olusE/giphy.gif)).
Using state of the art 4D photo digital analog editing techniques, I have compiled a photorealistic composite of what we need. :whistle:Show contentDon't tell anyone else, but this was also a sneeky way to get some attention to this topic again ...Show contenthttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yftULLEyHvc
Like TG24 above, I decided to get myself another cap till the MTO ones materialise.
I'm holding out for an MTo cap. With the temperatures we've been having here I just couldn't wait any longer.
Nice looking cap mate, love the colour and the message (I've googled it, went to their site and all I can say is :hatsoff:, what a great organisation :tu:).
With the temperatures we've been having here I just couldn't wait any longer.
Without a cap or hat I felt like this ...

Def, any update on where this project is?
I'm hearing that they will be here shortly. What that means, I am not sure...

Thanks for the update Grant :tu::iagree:
But if the hats are still going to be done
Then I am happy to wait for one
 I have already lost all my hair :D
Funny, I awlways picture you guys with hair.
:iagree:
Doesn't look like we're getting caps. I wrote mine off as a donation to the site some time ago(though in the remote chance caps do come, I'd like to get mine), but that was a personal choice, as my finances are fairly good right now.
T-G, definitely see if you can get your money back, man! Sounds like it is very necessary! Best of luck and hope your situation changes at soon, buddy!
Shame this has taken so long, I check in now and then hoping :dunno:
I paid for one cap and two gid wrist bands. I've since made do with a pentagon branded cap so if possible could what I paid be donated to Top-Gear-24 :pok:
Maybe if the MTO store comes back with caps in stock I'll buy another one :tu:
Thanks my friend, happy to hear you're doing okay :salute:.Thank you, my friend!
The money would be welcome, especially since I'm out of a job at the moment ..., but I hate being the smurfhole who asks for a refund ::)
I got my eye on another job, but it's not a done deal yet ... :dwts:
Sorry to hear of the struggles, Eric. I've been through some very trying times myself over recent years. I hope things pick up for you soon. I wouldn't blame you for pursuing a refund. I've pretty much written it off, but I'm only down the cost of one.
I hope people get their calendars quicker than they get their hats...
You will probably be better off:cry:
getting one somewhere else
I think we have been waiting for over a year now
Thank you for the kind words my friend :salute:.
Some good news, just started at my new job today.
Some bad news, still feeling the consequences of having some major setbacks and being without an income for some time.
And the new job... Well... It's something completely different compared to my previous job, and in only a couple of weeks time I went from being the one who answered everyone's questions, to being the one asking the questions :(.
But the guys working there seem great, and the rest will come in time I guess.
Sounds like an adventure!
Congratulations on the new job, TG. New jobs are always a challenge, but you'll find your footing soon and then start kicking some @$$ in no time, I'm sure. :viking:
+1
Good luck, mate!
 :tu:
Well said Jack and I agree on all points !
All::iagree:
For my part, the hat plan was a speculative scheme. I was hopeful.
We tried--'we' meaning that Grant was the one to do the leg work and deal with the headaches, while I sat back and hoped the hats would arrive on my doorstep--and it didn't work out.
Welcome to real life.
MTo has given me way to much for me to regret a lost hat. Def, and so many mods, have selflessly put way too much effort into building MTo into the welcoming and friendly place it is to sweat a hat deal that fell through. As I sip my tea this morning, there is no bad taste in my mouth. I just feel fortunate to have some tea, an internet connection, and a nice group of peeps to chat with.
So, I'm writing off my "investment" in a scheme to have a bit of fun. My down payment was "venture capital". This time, something ventured turned out to be something lost. The milk got spilled, the water is under the bridge, the bull is out of the pasture, and somebody please close that barn door.
Def:
I can only speak for myself here, but if the company has defaulted on it's ability to deliver the hats, I don't see how the liability falls on you. We all participated in the plan, you were just the person who volunteered (Thanks!) to do the hard work and bring it all together. The way I see it, the hat maker cheated US, not YOU.
This ain't on you, buddy.
So, right here, right now, let me be clear: MTo doesn't owe me anything. You, Def, don't owe me anything. If my name is on a list for a hat somewhere, cross it out. Done.
Now back to my tea.
