Hello everyone,
I was browsing the sales corner last night and came upon an older FS post featuring a large number of VSAKs. One of these knives was a Classic, and it appeared to have a forked end in the end of the nail file/cleaner tool (or it might have been the screwdriver of the SD version; not sure). The seller identified it as a watch strap changing tool, which intrigues me since I'm also into watches and straps and often change my own. It wasn't clear from the picture or the description if the watch had been modified by its owner. Thanks for any help.
Kind regards,
Myron
PS, Here's a link to a blog post I wrote about my VSA AirBoss mechanical if anyone is interested in reading about these great watches.

And here are some of my VSAKs with my VSA AirBoss watch:

Hi Myron, i have never had one to hand but i recall there was a 58mm like a classic but instead of the file it had a fork thing to remove the pins, this was from factory iirc , good luck finding one :salute:

I think that was my for sale thread?
Factory made, not a mod. Some I.N.O.X. watches came with one of those SAKs.
-
Nice watch by the way. I have the version with power reserve gauge.

From SAKWiki:
Around 2015/2016 the Classic was available with a push pin tool instead of the nail file. It was probably never for sale, instead it was gifted with the purchase of a watch from the Victorinox I.N.O.X. line.

That's the exact same knife as in my for sale thread. My picture and my SAKWiki entry ;)

Thanks so much everyone for the helpful responses! This place is an amazing wealth of knowledge and I really appreciate the help.
I have a modern Classic SD that's about due for replacement, so I think I might try my hand at modding it to create my own strap bar changing tool version. I'll come back to this thread with an update if I have success. Now where did I put that Dremel tool...
Thanks again!

There are two generation of this tool (the second generation has a little bit slimmer fork). Both generation were for sale without the purchase of a watch from the Victorinox I.N.O.X. line but in a set with an exchangable watch strap.
The first generation was with a NATO watch strap (the MSRP was about 65 CHF; and the limited edition of this version was distributed amond watch dealers during Baselworld-2016 Watch Expo), the second generation -- with a paracord bracelet (strap), for example, black V.60022 (https://www.victorinox.com/global/en/Products/Watches/Accessories/Paracord-Strap/p/V.60022) (and the MSRP 99 CHF).

I just thought I'd bump this thread up to let everyone who is interested know that I found one of these kits NIB on eBay. The seller has a couple in case anyone else is interested. I'm posting a link to the auction here and not on the tips/auctions forum since it applies to the informational intent of this thread. I hope that's ok.
Thanks again to everyone who contributed with information on my original question.
Best,
Myron

Thanks for the info. This and the pics would complement the Wiki nicely.

Unfortunately I don't know how to edit articles in Wiki. :( But I would be proud to see some of these photos in Wiki (but not the last photo, it has a very poor quality) .

I added some info and also one of the images. Let me know what you guys think: http://www.sakwiki.com/tiki-index.php?page=Classic
Personally, I think variations like this warrant their own pages but other editors and admins may disagree.
