Title: Top Saw Pocket Wrench - a multitool for servicing chainsaws
Post by: parnass on January 16, 2009, 06:39:46 AM
While web surfing, I saw the Top Saw Pocket Wrench, a multitool designed for servicing a chainsaw in the field.  It is 4-1/2 inches long and contains screwdrivers, hex and Torx wrenches, socket wrenches, a file handle, etc.

See http://topsaw.com

There is a video clip describing it on youtube.com (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s3OeeRRNx28).

Certainly a speSmurfpillsed tool, but I got to say that it is pretty cool. I work with a saw frequently and It would be something I could try. Maybe I will order one.

H0ly $h!t

This guy e-mailed me in april of last year and asked my opinions. We sent e-mails back and forth, we discussed production, marketing, etc. He seemed like a great guy and he really wanted this tool to come to market. I am glad to see it worked for him, I wish him the best. I still have the orginal e-mail he sent me and early photos of the tool design. I am not a chainsaw guy but very cool.

I don't use chainsaws, but in warm weather I take care of 4 lawns.I can see me having one for minor jobs on the mowers and weed-eater.Judging from the tool lay-out,it looks like it would be handy in a car tool kit.

Plus It would be nice to have someone living the dream give some insight.

Most here would love to have the chance to do what He is doing.

:o That's a nifty little idea there :tu:  We work on chopsaws (a tool very similar to a chainsaw but instead of a chain has a round 12 inch to 16 inch round blade depending on model of course)  We have a simpler tool that is designed for them that come with the saw but nothing even close to this guys design :tu: Looks like it is well built and hopefully they sell alot of them

I have fantasies about swinging a chainsaw through the bloody trees at the back of our house... the owner of the block they are on won't anything about it and they completely cover our property with crud every year. Anyone wanna come to Birmingham and cut some tress down for fun? :D

Bet you don't get many women offering you that kind if deal eh? ;)
