Title: Henckels vintage + introduction
Post by: alelser on November 10, 2010, 05:05:27 PM
Quick intro -- I'm a collector of darn near everything (ok, pack-rat), but have been collecting knives since my grandmother bought me my first Vic pocket pal (I think -- faux tourtise scales) 30 years ago. I'm far more active on another forum, but recently got back into SAK collecting (just can't afford the high-end custom knives anymore if I still want to collect watches -- oh the humanity).

Anyway, I started cleaning up some of my older SAKs and came across this one my grandmother also gave me, probably 20 years back. Not a SAK, but a good quality Henckels. I had to re-tap the scissors for a new screw as it had gone the way of the dodo many years back.

I wouldn't say it has quite the quality of a similar SAK, but it's pretty close.

Anyway, I see a few names I recognize from elsewhere so hi to you all, and greetings to all I've yet to meet. :)
