Yesterday I visited an abandoned farm house. I could have spend hours there, but unfortunately I had just two hours before it got dark. I have to return to take more pictures. it is just amazing what is still there!
There are parts of a creamery left, and signs that parts of the farm were used as a joinery.
Sorry, some pictures are a little bit blurry, but it was quite dark inside and I didn't had anything to support the camera (you couldn't use a tripod in there), and I didn't want to use the flash, it would have destroyed the atmosphere. I hope you enjoy the pictures anyhow!

Remarkable how much stuff is still there.
If that were here it would have been totally ransacked and vandalised. It's like a film set where something spooky happened - 28 Days Later kinda thing.
Thanks for the pics :tu:

Great pics Sabrina :tu:
Very interesting. I would love to go Urban Exploring. This is a UK site with some fascinating pics http://www.28dayslater.co.uk/forums/ (http://www.28dayslater.co.uk/forums/)
Yours would fit in well. It is bizarre to find things like the dishes, the phonebook and other everyday items still remaining in this abandoned farmhouse.

Thanks for your comments!
It is really amazing what is still there. Most of the things are pulled out of the drawers and cabinets, but I guess that's because relatives were looking if anything worth was left behind. No one bothered to clean up afterwards, and no one bothered to get all that stuff out of there. I am sure from time to time some homeless soul stays there. We found some fresh food. And one bathroom and one kitchen were amazingly clean.

Thanks for that link, Dan! Looks great, I will need some time to look through it!

Great pics :tu: Very surreal. In the Netherlands, such a place would have been trashed within months!
-
Great shots, very post-apocalyptic and atmospheric. :tu:
PS. made me think of the recent film The Road.

It's not much different here. Once the wrong people find such a place it will be destroyed forever. Just depens how far the place is away from those people who vandalize it. This house is quite far away from larger cities, and only small villages close to it. Around the house there are just fields. Not easy to locate, and even if you drive by you won't expect such a jewel.

So how did you find it?
-
A friend told me about it.
-
I'm surprised by how good condition it is in, if it were here the whole thing would've been smashed, burned and otherwise mutilated by punk kids.

They're excellent pictures but just a little disturbing. Specifically because there is so much still there. Very strange.

Oop, I missed this one first time around.
I wonder if the farm owners have returned home from town yet? ??? ;) :D
-
very nice, it is amazing how much stuff has been left at relatively good condition.

that farm would look so cool fixed up, shame that it is just fading away. I love finding old and abandoned places and go exploring them. Btw, in pics. :tu:
