Have you ever noticed that Managers are usually translucent blue? Most models are commonly seen in their red celidor scales, of course. But some models are most commonly seen in other colours. Compacts, for instance, just seem to be black a little more often. Have you guys noticed this with any other models?

No doubt that there are some preferred colors for certain models. For example, the Cyber Tool SAKs seem to predominately Ruby with a smattering of Sapphire. Among the Alox models, there is a predominance of silver for current models with the color options available for Cadet followed by the Pioneer. I have seen (and want) a blue Pioneer X but don't have a purchase source. All of the Pioneer X offerings that I am aware of are silver.
I am surprised at the comment about Compacts being primarily black. My experience is just the opposite. My first two Compact purchases were one red and one black new from Amazon. I have added three additional Compacts and all are red. I haven't even run across a black compact for sale on e-bay (of course, it has been months since I deleted my saved search).
It probably goes without saying that red is the traditional color.

Not really. All the Managers I've seen are usually solid red :megaslap: I have seen some SwissChamps with the translucent Blue scales though. :multi:

That is the first time I have seen the Mega Slap smiley used in proper context on this forum. Well done. :hatsoff:

I rarely see my favouite, transluscent emerald plus scales. And I have none.

GAKs always tend to be OD green :D

some patterns are reserved for camo saks but are rarely seen.

Oh yeah...I do like the translucent emerald plus scales...so much that I designated these as the only color scales for my 91mmGolfers. I buy the scales off evil bay. I use the translucent blue for the pre-hook Super Tinkers in my EDC.

Speaking of translucent blue, I was able to acquire one a few months ago. Here is the seller's photo since I haven't taken the time to take my own photos yet:

Over the last few years, the general NA distributor standard offerings for Compacts are generally either Red or Black. The StayGlow scales have been offered by a few distributors, but are relatively rarer. There are 1 or 2 distributors who offer new, re-scaled Compacts in other colors.
