It has recently come to our attention that there has a small number of trades that have gone awry, and usually by the same individuals.
No we are not the trade police, and never will be, but we are here to help mediate between two parties if it becomes necessary.
But you the member's have to do your part too. If you've had a bad trade with an individual, and you fail to report it then that will be to the detriment of both the forum, and you it's members.
Likewise I know MT.O is a happy place, and no-one likes to rock the boat, but you need to leave negative feedback, one to make us admins aware of the problem if your not comfortable speaking to us (I'd like to think that would never be the case though) and two to prevent the person who ripped you off, from potentially doing it to others.
It's your forum, you help to make it the place it is, and we would hate to see the trust you have in this forum and it's member's eroded by a few questionable member's trading activities, so please help us to help you.

Could not agree more.
Does this feedback also apply to people who constantly take threads off topic :pok: :P
(Don't ban me...you need my camping area :D)

'Ben, lend us your Button' >:D

I also agree. However people should try to rectify this also on thier own. I would like to know if someone felt They got taken by me first, so I could make it right. However some people do take advantage of people on reg. basis.
But I have had no problems with being ripped off here.

I'd just like to emphasise that problems with trades here at MTO are extremely rare and that it is a very small percentage of people that actually have problems. The vast vast majority of the members here are top guys. :tu:

I'm not sure if this would be possible or viable, and I'm equally not sure that anyone else would agree, so I thought I'd post this idea up here for people to have their two-penneth rather than just PM'ing a mod.
My idea is that all of the posts made about a particular individual be merged together in the Feedback Forum so that there is one thread for each member. I would find this very useful, as I really do use this forum when dealing with someone for the first time, and it would be so much simpler to get the full picture from a consolidated thread. OK, it wouldn't have a "score" like ebay does, but at least you would be able to see whether a member has done dozens of trades and everyone's happy for example.
As I say, I'm sure if people would agree, but Ben and Micky D need something to do anyway :P
Am I alone?
Thanks for reading!

Actually that does sound like a good idea.
-
It is certainly doable and I'd be happy to do it if Def and the other mods saw it as a good idea.
The number of topics about a member is also a good indicator though.
-
I'm in on that also. I'm now venturing in too trading and it would be nice to have a referense. Good idea Dave

Wow, good suggestion Dave :salute:
-
Not a bad idea fella :tu:
-
That's a good idea :tu:

So what's the suggested way of posting feedback info? I've been trying to append my feedback posts to existing threads for the guys I've gotten stuff from, but I also see multiple threads for some guys popping up every now and then. Is there some "official" guideline?
-
If you can tag your feedback onto another thread, that'd be great, but don't feel compelled too :)
-
I like the idea of one thread for each member who trades. It would be helpful if the forum members would take the time to find such an existing thread before posting a new topic.
-
So, Dave's not just a pretty face then? :D

I am in trouble if that is the case.
Good idea for a area here, this is new right?
Not had any bad trades yet but if I do you will be the third to know.

I for one think feedback is very important, im always very quick at sending stuff out and never had a issue with stuff not turning up,i always leave feedback but i dont always get feedback back ,i never push for it but i feel its important, ok rant over :D
