I awlways like to have an eyeglass screwdriver close at hand. I know some folks here have views and say "Down with This Sort of Thing". But I don't.
Many years ago I was deeply relieved to be able to fix a lose screw (just the one since you ask) on my glasses with my LM Micra and avoid very public dissassemblage. And until that time I'd never even looked at the screwdriver / opener tool.
Now I know people say "get a decent pair of glasses" but I quite like those I have and having a suitable screwdriver close at hand is a nice insurance policy.
So far I think the Micra, the Vic corkscrew screwdriver and Wenger PTC are my benchmark. But's what's your view? Is there better out there?

The one in LM Wave is simply in-smurfin-credible! I used it on glasses, notebook computers on awl kinds of stuff. Loving it! :like:

I use the one on the Wave a lot (but never for adjusting my glasses :P). I do have the little mini driver in all my SAKs with corkscrews but rarely use it. The ones on the Juice and Squirt get used occasionally, and the little phillips on the Ramber is excellent for kids toys.

Most of the time, I seem to need a glasses driver (either for my specs, or more commonly, someone else's), when I'm NOT carrying tools that have that feature. However, I have a Utilikey permanantly residing on my keyring, which has saved the day many times.

The Utilikey is a new one to me AiWa and I can see that it’s got a lot to offer :cheers:

For toys you need the iFixit set, infact you just need it!

At the risk of sounding imbecilic,
I never knew the tiny screwdriver has a tiny phillips head on the other end until some 4 years after owning the wave.

I carry an eyeglass repair kit (screwdriver and spare screws) in the glove box of each family vehicle. I haven't had to use them often enough to warrant carrying them on my person.

With the SAK Christmas Edition 2018 there's a little WHITE screwdriver.
I just ordered the 2017 edition. I want that white screwdriver!!!
Any idea where to buy this in The Netherlands?

I quite like the Wave micro driver. I also like the Squirts "Philips" driver and the 58mm ruler/flat driver (Minichamp). My PTC is previously owned and for some reason it doesn't bite. It seems to want to slip. Could be the previous user rounded the flat area with use?

The Leatherman Style PS and CS driver works great. I used once in an emergency the Victorinox mini pliers, and it worked! I simply put one part of them in the slot, and it did the job. Not the most elegant solution.

Vic mini-screwdriver FTW.
It seems to be the right size to fit virtually all eyeglass or other tiny screws I have tried it on, and takes up exactly zero extra pocket space if (like me) one would be carrying a SAK with a corkscrew anyway.

The philips on the rambler/manager/minichamp fit everything. Not only that but it also works an all Philips up to #2

I know this is an old reply, but I haven't been here for a bit. What I have done in the past is forget the screw. It usually gets lost anyway. What I did was to take a paper clip, and bend a "U" about 1/4 of an inch long, the legs, and slightly tight together. Then insert the thing into the screw hole then slightly crimp the ends together. This fixes the lost screw problem almost permanently. Just my experience. YMMV...
