Your coming? :D
Tom, would it be easier if I brought my gas lighting out of my garden?
It's no hassle to shove the lantern in my car, I just need to remember to put some petrol in it :tu:
That said, the more light the merrier

OK mate, I've just got some new cartridges for them, so I'll see if I can figure out a way to transport them safely. :tu:
As an aside, I phoned Mark today, and he won't be joining us as he's booked up with something else. He has however asked if we want to borrow the big tent he had last year. It was a godsend for us last time with the heavy rains, and though not completely waterproof is did keep the worst off us. Do we know what we're likely to expect this year? Has Sparky Bloke done it to us again? :P :D :D Has anyone else got any "group shelter" options?
I'd say bring the big tent Al. Did we just have the flysheet up last time, or was Mark sleeping in it as well? Anyway, if no-one else is bringing anything similar then I''d say it might be worth it.

No probs. I've had orders from his Mrs to go round and see them for a cuppa anyway :D so I'll pop round on Thursday and grab it :tu: Last time we had the fly up and Mark had one of the rooms up as well, but if we only have the fly up there'll be even more room inside
Cool. That's kinda how I remembered it, but i wasn't at all sure. :-[ Send our best to Mark and the misses.
I think Tony might have one
I'll bring my old airgun, needs the sight changing. I have all the bits I think, should kill some time. anyone got any paper targets ? could someone print off some 'Grant' photos ? ::)
back on the topic of FOOD ! (tis one of my favourites :D) Tony, is there a 'chippy' close (driving distance) ?

Well I got myself a new tent for the weekend, my regular family tent is a bit big for 1 night and it needs 2 or 3 people to pitch.
I'm going to practice with the new one tomorrow so I don't make a complete smurf of myself on Saturday :ahhh
on a serious note, will someone have a camera with them ? we didn't get many pics last year, in part due to the foul weather which I hope we don't get this year

I'm only bringing the CP88, I don't have anything else that doesn't require an FAC

some of my favourite Quotes of the weekend ~
"are we there yet?" - Kirk13 (too many times to count)
"there are hot showers available" -sparky (when people arrived...just before he said ''hello'' ;) )
"is that rain ???" - everyone !
"Is Cupboard here yet?" everyone apart from cupboard (who wasn't there)
"anyone fancy a cold shower ?" -Sparky (uncomfortably often for a male only meet)
"your breakfast seems to be on fire Tony" - Me (sitting close enough to put it out )
"here you go TD, take this tin of haggis home with you" Gareth (my best mate :gimme:)
You forgot 'but there's no kebabs!'I thought that was just a nightmare that I've tried hard to blank from my mind
I thought that was just a nightmare that I've tried hard to blank from my mind
(but seriously what kind of Chinese take away chip shop doesn't do kebabs ?)
No sign of any initiation chickens, I think I'll risk going next time. :tu:
The only things making me hesitate are no kebabs & the thought of cold showers with Sparky. :ahhh

I shoot off the left but otherwise we are the same. I play darts and table tennis equally with both. I'll surfcast with the right and flycast with the left. I throw and catch better with the right and play kendama better with the left. The sparky is left handed? :salute:

Very true. You can blame my dad for teaching me to shoot 'off handed'. ::) Frankly if I put a rifle up to my left shoulder it feels utterly unnatural, however I do hold a pistol in my left hand. I also play two handed bat games (cricket, baseball etc) as a righty, but play one handed racquet game as a lefty. Yes, I am a little confused too.
:twak: LOONY LEFTIES?!? I'll have you know, sir, that we are the only people in our right minds..... ::)
Zoidberg and Jerseydevil ! two perfect examples to prove my case
thanks guys :tu: that was like shooting fish in a barrel

Did no one bring SPAM?
Spam ROCKS!!!
I cut some spam into slices about 1/4 to 1/2" thich and fried them and put it on fresh french bread with american cheese and it was AMAZING!
Do you guys call American Cheese, uhhh...... American Cheese?
To me cheese is cheese, whether it's soft cheese, hard cheese ...
Actually, just googled it (didn't really know what you meant), and I would say cheese slices or maybe processed/pretend/plastic cheese. I've never known it as American cheese
I prefer real cheese though .... so long as it isn't blue (makes me really ill)
We call it a crime :angel:Do you guys call American Cheese, uhhh...... American Cheese?
I actually had to think about this. :D I'd call them "cheese slices", though my wife thinks of them as "cheese singles" apparently.
There are to kinds of American Cheese. One come in a big block and taste like heaven. The other kind comes in singles wrapped in plastic and is very foul. The later should not be called American cheese.
That's us mobile.
No. Closer to a good cheddar. If that makes sence. There are to kinds of American Cheese. One come in a big block and taste like heaven. The other kind comes in singles wrapped in plastic and is very foul. The later should not be called American cheese.

does the block stuff have the same consistency as the sliced stuff?
I always call the singles wrapped in plastic, plastic cheese.Same here. And real American cheese and the plastic cheese does not even taste alike. Nothing alike at all. Now it is happing to swiss cheese. Oh god I hope they don't do white sharp cheddar next.

nice number plate blocking Garath :tu:
many years ago, when we first got the cheese slices (thinking at the time we were very "cosmopolitan") we got through the first two packs before we found out there was plastic between the slices
How on earth did you do that Michael? Surely you take a bite and think "this is a bit tough! It's not coming apart."?melted on a burger and sandwiched in a bun it just becomes a bit 'stringy'
we just had two pages of SPAM and cheese on this thread :ahhh :DSounds about right.

Yeah, I'd deliberately not posted the pic earlier, thinking I'd do the number scrub first, and then realised that I'd never quite gotten around to putting it up. :-[
