I THINK some Edc pics are getting cramped with to much stuff and I'd like to see some good pics concentrated on the tools, blades and lights..
you all know I like seeing your cool pocket tools, ratchets, pens and other edc gear but I want a picture thread to focus on the 3 most important parts of my edc carry.

Judging from the patina starting there I'm going to say it's carbon steel. My carbon Opinel #6 is a razor, the edge you can get on those things is incredible!

I've seen many fake ones that looked ok but I didn't trust there reliability. I'm going to try get my hands on a real one before to long.
I was going to invest in a quantum d2 http://www.velenodesigns.com/?p=168 but things changed I need a reliable adorable option.
Also
The photon is a much cooler light to me after learning more about them.
I thought they looked cheap but I think I may have been all wrong.

I think I'm one of the few still rocking a Juice Pro but it's my favorite so far for EDC. I do keep others in the bag for tougher work though. Flashlight is a Sunwayman D20A and the knife is a Ontario RAT-1 (awesome bang for the buck).

My next flashlight purchase will be a AA light. Love the smurf out of my Olight I3S AAA but at least here AAA batteries fall from the sky like rain while AAA are a little hard to find.
Course I am still on my first battery for my light so take that for what it is worth.

How is that pocket clip working out for you Kam?Very functional yet matches the color theme of the pocket knife, very good looking.
Nite-Ease clip I am guessing?
But it adds another 1/4" to a already pretty thick knife, it feels a little cumbersome.
Come on Victorinox, please add pocket clip on your knives.

Sometimes I change it up and carry the Fenix depending on what the mission is.

no need to compete for anything! Those three hold their own and are worthy of a good, solid collection. I only have one OHO SAK and the SOG Powerlock it's not longer mine, but as I said I find their smooth opening a real pleasure and huge plus in their line.

The knife is another used one - has a US maker's logo but was made in Japan. It was a bit abused - I think some people sharpen blades with rough rocks :o The light has quite a bluish tinge but it lasts a long long time on a rechargeable aaa so I'm not complaining.
No problem with the "missing" knife. It will eventually get sorted one way or the other.

Fenix lights are so popular everywhere...I'll have to get one someday! AAA is my favorite type too :tu:
the knife is very similar to an aitor I had, in shape, size and features. What company is it from? Do I read "Sport" on the blade, and if so, it's the knife's model/name? Looks a lot like some old Gerbers. :think:

One side of the base of the blade reads "Valor Miami U.S.A." and the other side reads "440 Stainless Japan 314". It's quite a small knife - about 7.5 cm long closed. It has been abused but is still quite solid. It's another example of a very inexpensive but good quality knife located in a thrift store.
I have three fenix lights and they are seemingly indestructible.
Thanks for the comments about the photos. We have a lot of snow and it's cold (-19C this morning) so I haven't ventured very far to take them in more interesting locations.
