Title: Can anyone identify this SAK?
Post by: JamesJ on August 21, 2016, 09:15:03 PM
I'm NOT AFFILIATED with this listing, and I don't plan to bid, but I'm just curious, as I can't find the model on SAKWIKI

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Swiss-Army-Knife-Victorinox-Switzerland-Victoria-Officier-Multi-tool-11-Function-/112095446850?hash=item1a1968c742:g:DLUAAOSw-itXsNaj

It's basically a Ranger add scaler. Though it was maybe an early Champion, pre-IL Phillips, but it has corkscrew and scissors are mounted on the wrong side to be an old Champion.

I tried to look and see if there was a tool layer that wasn't deployed in the pics, but looks like they've pulled'em all out.

Is this "Swiss Army Brands version (SABI 5041)" of Handyman?

Cool, I can't rest when there is a question in my mind.
 :tu:

I'd probably rather carry a Ranger or Champion, but this might be a nice in-between if you are a Fisherman Ranger.

In the past I would buy anything affordable and unusual like this but I'm trying to keep mostly SAKs I use, and only a few for collecting.

Interesting variation.  At one time this was the "flagship" SAK.  I've had the IL phillips my whole life, spoiled!
